Let's get into this. sit down and grab some food this might take a while. Nah, just kidding. But seriously your question is pretty stupid. The two of them have voices that most people find detestable due to the pitch, quality and control etc.
The lyrics are pretty silly and in all honesty could be easily overlooked.
If these two were in any form of talent show, be it your highschool on, a karaoke bar's competition or just some random cafe's stand up night. They would be booed for the stage.
Most people seriously hate these guys of voices as they seem untalented as well as not trying hard.
Face it, the song was never that good and its quite obvious since other than Judo (a C-class movie) they went no where

kerry0010 I mean, the thing is that you know I'm simply implying that I really enjoy the song to the extent that I can't put myself in a place to not ever enjoy it.
Also, I actually went to an arts high school and people saying what they're thinking in a song and having it sounds "not great" is a form of art and a style all its own. There are several places where they would not be booed.
Also, honestly maybe they weren't being lazy and this is just what resonates with them. It's very simple and honest. There are some silly clichés and it's not over the top.
And I don't know about "most people", but I'm really not in a position to think that there are people who are going to not enjoy them. That's fine. It's a mixture of a lack of open mindedness and probably just the way all of the tones in the song and and lyrical content hit them. They need more of something else. That's alright.
And everything is up to a person's opinion. Just because a number of critiques don't feel that they appreciate what they've done with this piece of art and expression, and their "professional" opinion does not appreciate it does not make Juno a C-class movie, nor does it make The Moldy Peaches or Kimya Dawson failures. They didn't go nowhere, either.
I'm not entirely sure what the point of your explanation and "answer to my question" was. If you were attempting to agitate because you feel you have the ultimate answer and I just absolutely needed to hear it, or if you just felt that your opinion was needing to be released. I'm confused as to why you were even on this page, and read my comment, if you don't enjoy the song. Maybe you were giving it another chance to listen with open ears?
