You see, before metalcore, there was crossover which combines thrash metal and hardcore punk, and which has much more edge and tends to be much more abrasive than metalcore. The New Low from Odense play crossover metal, drawing on both thrash metal and hardcore, also infusing elements from hardrock, traditional metal and more old school punk rock into their style. Combining these into their own brand of crossover metal, The New Low should appeal broadly to fans of such diverse acts as Agnostic Front, The Misfits, S.O.D., The Kandidate, Pantera, Pro-Pain, Discharge, Metallica, Generation Kill, and Anthrax. Fans of crossover metal should definitely check this band out, which might also appeal to fans of hardcore punk, thrash metal, and sludge metal.

• The New Low was birthed 2007 under the name Foot To Face.
• In 2008 they released a split with When Midnight Kills on Schizophrenic Inc.
• The split was recorded in Aarhus at Smart ’n’ Hard Studios with Jacob Bredahl (The Kandidate, ex – Hatesphere) behind the dials.
• In 2009 the band entered the studio, again with Jacob Bredahl and recorded their first full-length “Fall Empire”.
• The band signs with Danish metal and HC label Mighty Music and the label puts out their first solo release.
• Foot To Face changes their name to The New Low.
• In the summer of 2010 The New Low tours the south of Spain with Coleoptero.
• ”Fall Empire” is released in august 2010.
• The band tours DK and EU.
• In the spring of 2011 The New Low once again signs with Schizophrenic Inc. for the purpose of releasing their second full-length “Misery”.
• The songs are recorded live at SomeStudio, Odense with Michael Hansen Buur and Peter Christiansen in June 2011.
• The New Low plays CopenHell 2011.
• ”Misery” is mastered at West West Side Music by Alan Douches
(DEP, ETID, Agnostic Front, The Banner, Converge, Misfits ect.) in august 2011.
• On the 6th. January 2012 the second album from The New Low - ”Misery” is released by Schizophrenic Inc.
• “Misery” is still receiving excellent reviews and the band is planning to record an 7’ EP in the winter of 2013.
• The band is currently halfway through the process of writing the next release.
