Clearly the boarder on US side doesn't have the same restrictions as in Canada because you couldn't go this fast in any Boarder crossing so yall tighten up on your security and regulations take a little safety measures from the people up North.
This is unacceptable that you cannot even protect the boarder the vary place where your supposed be on guard at all times how come there nobody on duty outside and around where are the patrols yall ????
Am not concerned about anything else this could of been different intention and then your governor over their doing press conferences talking about not terrorism as far where concerned anytime your heading into any boarder and crash its act of terrorism this just shows today we need higher security at the boarder not happen again.

How come there no speed bumps at the boarder in Canada you couldn't drive this fast come close to a boarder what is going on across federal lines, yall need to tighten up and do security checks on every officer over there someone playing dirty and it stinks hard.

Story I’m hearing..and as I sit 3 blocks from where it happened was a husband and wife from a great local family had the accelerator on their hi tech car get stuck wide open. He never passed any checkpoints. If you knew the road leading to the bridge, you’d know that he drove left to avoid hitting an inspection both or going right off the bridge. No road rage or self harm. Prayers to the family..Questions for the auto maker.

Wow, thank you!!!!! First sensible comment I've seen all night about this. Everything else has been people with their tin foil hats and to not trust the government. Yeah I assume the driver panicked and didn't think to shift it into neutral. Some Bentleys have 600+ horsepower, so if the car is rolling with the throttle stuck wide open, you can't stop that with normal brake pads and rotors very easily. You'll burn them up and have zero braking power.

Curious how you know this. I doubt they can even find the accelerator at this point given how many pieces of carr there are. And I'll never understand why people just don't shut off the engine....

Was this an "explosion", or was it the fuel tank? This may have been a vehicle malfunction. The driver may have been swerving to avoid others. If this is the case, then it's a horrible tragedy. I feel sorry for the family.

I can't see it being a malfunction at that speed. You can't accidentally drive a car that fast.

@aStonerLoner Could be. Maybe he just thought he had a convenient straight stretch to floor it and show off his car to his passenger, and the corner came up faster than he expected.
Lots of reasons a person might have to be driving at that speed, but none of them accidental. Hitting the barrier and jumping like that, however, is the part that could have been accidental.
With him now dead, we might never know what he was thinking.
