(2) 1999 was the year Andrew and James first put the band together under the name 2000 A.D. along with original bass player Nathan Eaton and drummer Alan Proud. After recording their four track E.P. 'Experimenting With The Truth' and playing one show, Alan jumped ship! What a great start...
Over the years, Andrew, James and Nathan continued to write and record together even though none of them lived in the same city. The academic year was spent doing what ever they did - Nath and Andrew were studying and James was teaching. In the summer months, they'd get together when at home in Fishguard, pool all their ideas, finish writing songs and record them at Dreamworld Studios in Letterston - a converted barn in the middle of no-where in Pembrokeshire.
During the summer of 2005, Nathan decided to move onto other things. So, Andrew and James moved to Cardiff to rebuild their band. After two or three months of meeting people who were nothing much more than bullshitters and posers... they finally met brothers Mat and Jon Griffiths.
Mat (bass) and Jon (drums) have been playing together for 6 years and it certainly shows!
Andrew - "We met with them at an open mic night somewhere. I was sceptical because they are quite a bit younger than us, I wanted prospective members to commit to the band and not give us some bollocks about homework and exams! James and I got up to play a song we had been working on and to show what we were about, it went down really well and the boys liked it. They then got up to play some drum and bass instrumental they wrote. The whole place was in silence while they played. I've been around musicians every single day for the last 5 or 6 years and I have never heard anyone play like these two!!"
Rehearsals started at the Griffiths' household and after three rehearsals we were back at the open mic night to play three songs. That little performance solidified the band and got them excited about new material and future shows.
The band have now finalised material to take to the studio and a demo is available on request. They will also be gigging very, very soon....

Sorry about my poorly english but reading your comment really makes me emphathizing.
When i was 16 years old, i used to spamming this song because the melody was too addictive for me, it was so chill back then.
.
And today i'm listening to this song again, 1AM, after unfriended my ex, and fighting my thought that i must let her go. She was my first lovers, our love was kind of crazy, we both spend everything we have to each other.
But love doesn’t buy you a house, take you a car or make meals for you, I have my whole future to fight with, we back then was having nothing in our hand, i need to learn so much to ensure my future.
Gradually i don't have time for even go out at weekend, I was trying to love her at my best whenever I have time.
However, the space between the things you should do and the things you can do when you are having nothing is a big gap.
I know that, she knows that, one day, we have a talk and she have her decision, we broke up from that day.
That was the first time I cried in 10 years, I still remember that night, searching crazily for any reasons for our relationship to continue while bursting tears, losing someone for me was a crucial pain than any other things, I’m that guy who hate every good bye and feels sad when somebody told me they are leaving.
I message her a lot, wake up all night waiting for response.
But after all, that’s her decision, and we broke up while still love each other.
And in my entire life, that was the most painful experience, not from 100 push up, not from rejection, any of them doesn’t even have a chance to be 1/4 of it.
If the pain stopped bleeding in only 1 or 2 months after, it will causing nothing, and I don’t need to unfriended her. But it isn’t, I was obsessed with the feelings that I will have her back some times in the future, I know she is waiting for me, and I know I want her back too, it’s 6 months since the moment we broke up.
But… I know I won’t have her back, I know she shouldn’t wait for me to get this done, it’s approximate 7 years to learn, working and having lots of money so that I can have her back, I don’t wanna love anybody when I still need to strive for better life. And I also shouldn’t have her back, I know I need to prepare for my own life when I still have the chances.
7 years is a long period of time, it transform a boy to a man effortlessly, and everybody changes in that 7 years, everybody should changes.
I must let her go, and focus more on my things, accept that we will hardly comeback on our own.
The only thing I can do now is being grateful because she has become part of my life :)… still, it’s hard to let her go. Its also mean letting a part of myself go, it’s sad in the deepest part of my souls, I also need loads of change in my life to completely moving on.
But I still have to do it, if I don’t, becoming obsessed like this will drive my productivity to hell, I still learn, but I know I can do way better.
I think, “only know you love her when you let her go”, she was leaving me because she want me to focus more about my future, she knows I need it… unfriend her was never my choice, but coming up to this point, I must do that to continue my study, although it mean a lot of pain for me and her.
