Following a double A-side release in 2009, that gained the band its first praise from national and online media, they were picked up by the local independent label, Speechless to record an album in March with Pete Miles (King Blues, Failsafe, Your Demise). He captured their sound live, showcasing the technicality in the arrangements of a band that has become water-tight through intense practise and years of musical understanding between the members. They take influence from a variety of artists – most notably Deftones, Thrice, Biffy Clyro and Oceansize, distilling and breaking that down into something that’s both honest and all-encompassing on impact, but with intricacy enough to reward further listens.
From the swarm-of-bees guitar sound that engulfs the furious “Hailstones” to the melodic bliss of “Indigo”, the band rarely let up the pace or invention. Progressive throughout, the band are hard to pigeonhole – the intense riffage of Deliver Me Your Sins brings to mind the likes of Mastodon and Gojira. Other highlights include the math-rock rhythms of A Priest & A Proposition and the blistered, anthemic melodies behind their most accessible track yet, the majestic Quietly Confident.
Belying their age, “Everything Else Can Wait” is a mature and powerful statement of intent across ten tracks. Almost certainly, it is only the very beginning.

Are We There?
The Perfect Crime Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'll breathe to stop the use of air so that I drown without a care....
If you want me to stand tall I'll lay you down ....
I'll use you as a stepping-stone to take my crown....
I heard a saint, call out to me it told me things I need to see....
Hear me call to you....
Hear me call out....
"It's your life so turn this around"....
As haunting as this now seems I'll slowly float up to the sea and breathe for you have your faith in me....
Hear me call to you....
Hear me call out....
"It's your life so turn this around"....
With this I thank you the most....
Are we there?....
The first two lines of this verse seem to suggest that the singer is willing to give up their own life, diving into the sea without any concern for their own well-being. The next two lines are more violent, implying that the singer will use someone else to further their own ambitions, even if it means stepping on them to achieve their goals. The line "if you want me to stand tall, I'll lay you down" seems to be a play on words - standing tall could mean being successful or respected, but in this case, the singer is saying that they will literally lay the other person down so that they can rise above them. The final lines introduce a new character, a saint who tells the singer "things I need to see." This suggests that the singer may have been lost or struggling with their identity and purpose, and is looking for guidance.
The singer then repeats the phrase "hear me call to you, hear me call out," which could be interpreted in different ways. It could be a plea for someone to listen to them, a warning to those who have been stepped on to pay attention, or a reminder to themselves to stay focused on their goals. The repetition of "it's your life so turn this around" suggests that the singer is trying to motivate themselves or others to take control of their own lives and make positive changes. The final lines "with this I thank you the most, are we there?" are somewhat cryptic - it could mean that the singer is grateful for the struggles they've faced because it has led them to this moment, or it could be a more bitter sentiment, suggesting that they've achieved their goals but are still not satisfied.
