herman marvede.
topl level german engineering.
top level of germany's extremely capable sea sar.
extremely strong engines, compared to its size (9920hp)
extremely fast, compared to its size (25kn)
constructed to withstand any wheather conditions. constructed to survive 360° trunaround without loss of functionality. unsinkable.
includes an emergency hospital.
has extremely strong water cannons to fight fire (42000m^3 per minute)
includes helicopter working platform
includes a smaller, highly maneuverable and very fast (32kn) rescue boat which can be brought into and out of water at the rear. this boat increases operation capabilities.

no matter how bad wheather in north sea is: hermann and his crew is stronger.

yes because a video about RO RO boats pairs perfectly with a need for Coast Guard ships

An an ex-submariner, I would like you to show videos of submarine rescue vessels with all its specialised equipment, Deep Diving systems, Pressure chambers, lift capabilities for a DSRV/ equivalent, Sickbay and Helo landing etc. basically the entire SRV with its bridge etc. Enjoyed your video on the 10 most amazing rescue vessels for SAR. Thanks.

These are some crazy cool vessels!

Rescue vessels have to be fast, able to handle different conditions and able to fit the people you rescue. I hope I never have to wait for a ship to travel 3000 miles while I bob in the water. And when you pick me up, please don't throw me on the deck while the crew sits in comfortable seats. As for the Turkish sub rescuer; what a waste of money!

Quite surprised there is no mention of some of the RNLI vessels we have here in UK and ROI as some of them I would have thought would be better placed than some of the RHIB's

Chris Edwards

Spot on! I thought that myself. The UKs RNLI has some of the best rescue boats in the world!

The SAR 1906 is bigger and faster than a Shannon with a few more features (hydraulic transom for casualty recovery, automatic searchlights etc). It doesn’t look after the crew quite as well but the KNRM have had a couple of capsizes in the last decade and have got away with it so they obviously see the protection as adequate. The RHIB at the start has a FLUR camera and better crew protection, is faster more capacity than an Atlantic 85 so assume that why it was listed. So with the Shannon and 85 out the running the rest of the RNLI fleet is arguably outdated by anything shown here, probably the same reason no USCG lifeboats were shown despite it being an American video. The Canadians do have a modified version of the RNLI Severn that called the bay class that was probably more worthy of note than the one showcased from there tho. All in all, cracking video with a good mix of vessels.

I can definitely agree
