Guitarist Terry Sylvester left the group in the late 60s, and he joined another seminal Britsh rock act, The Hollies, as a replacement for the departing Graham Nash. The Swinging Blue Jeans, with some original members, soldiered on through the decades. A version of the group, with singer-songwriter and guitarist Ray Ennis remaining, continues to tour to this day.

Well, you sure look good to me
Well, please, don't excite me, baby
I know it can't be me
Well, I give you all my money
Yeah, but you just won't treat me right
You like to ball every morning
I'm gonna tell, tell my mama
Lord, I swear, gal, what you been doing to me?
I'm gonna tell everybody that
I'm in misery
So bye, bye, bye, baby
Gal, I won't be comin' no more
Goodbye, little darlin'
Down the road I go
Oh, goodbye, bye, bye, baby
Gal, I won't be comin' no more
Goodbye, little darlin'
Down the road I go
The Swinging Blue Jeans's song "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" is a classic rock and roll tune that tells the story of a man who is infatuated with a woman named Miss Clawdy despite her ill-treatment of him. The song begins with the lines, "Well, lawdy, lawdy, lawdy, Miss Clawdy / Well, you sure look good to me / Well, please, don't excite me, baby / I know it can't be me." The man is clearly taken with Miss Clawdy's physical beauty, but is also aware that her charm is not entirely sincere.
The lyrics go on to describe how the man has given Miss Clawdy all his money but she still won't treat him right. She likes to "ball" every morning and doesn't come home until late at night, leaving the man feeling lonely and neglected. He decides to tell his mama about Miss Clawdy's behavior and "tell everybody that [he's] in misery." In the end, he bids Miss Clawdy goodbye, singing, "Goodbye, little darlin' / Down the road I go."

0:06 secs was enough for me. I find that kind of guitar tone painful.
