Lyle Bell of Shout Out Out Out Out/Whitey Houston and Trevor Anderson of The Vertical Struts joined forces to form a band. The challenge: one week from first rehearsal (Feb. 12, 2005) to debut performance (Feb. 19, 2005) with all new songs. They called in Kim Rackel, Donna Ball and Jeremy Nischuk. Seven days, ten songs, and 21 cases of Stella later, five people took to the stage at Seedy's in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and played for just over an hour to an enthusiastic, dancing crowd. On March 24, 2005, a document of their experiment was released to the public as "A Whale of a Cow" a ten song, original CD recorded late at night during that fateful week of writing and rehearsing.
ONE YEAR. In January 2006, The Wet Secrets decided to start driving from Edmonton to Calgary on occasional weekends to record some new songs with Diego Medina. Now, one year later, these songs are available for free download at www.wetsecrets.ca

The Chinball Wizard
The Wet Secrets Lyrics
Well we know him he won't be sassified
A masterful orator he never blows his lines
To know him is to love him
I hear he's been known once or twice
The Chinball Wizard has such a subtle wrist
Give him a butter knife and he will cut off your cyst
Uh-huh!
The Chinball Wizard says he knows just what he likes
Says he don't like sausages that comes as a surprise
A mover and a shaker
Perpetual list maker my-oh-my
The Chinball Wizard he knows how to dress
If only he could play
the way he talks to the press
Uh-huh!
A drummer and a thespian with such a checkered past
Starts it slow when he counts it in but finishes it fast
I've seen him fly his freak flag
But never ever at half mast
The Chinball Wizard
He's got nothing to prove His pedal always squeaks because he ain't got no lube
Uh-huh!
The Chinball Wizard he's not easy to please
He'll count you off in fours and then he'll play it in threes
Uh-huh!
The Chinball Wizard he knows how to dress
If only he could play
the way he talks to the press
Uh-huh!
A drummer and a thespian with such a checkered past
Starts it slow when he counts it in but finishes it fast
I've seen him fly his freak flag
But never ever at half mast
The Chinball Wizard

Uh-huh!

Uh-huh!
