The Tribe never released music to the mainstream, secular market but remained consistently popular among proponents of contemporary Christian music. The band went through various incarnations that included various members including Cameron Dante, Andy Hawthorne, Lindsey West, and Tim & Emma Owen.
Their music was almost exclusively produced by Manchester-based Zarc Porter. The Tribe were part of a wider Christian charity called ‘The Message Trust’ who has gone on to spawn other music groups such as ‘BlushUK’ and ‘LZ7’ and continues to actively proselytise to children across the Manchester region.

Through my tears and battle cries I still feel your love. I should never of let go of your hand but I did. However you never let go of my hand 24 years later I am battle worn but not defeated. Your love is my rock and my salvation. If I has one wish was to listen to Andy Hawthorn all those 24 years ago never let go of Jesus because he will never let go of you. Through the years of on off pain this song has been my go to one. Thank you WWMT, my Christian family and my beloved Jesus for getting me through so many years of darkness.
