Soon, their song, The Good Kind — originally recorded solely by Jessica — was featured on the hit teen soap opera One Tree Hill. They performed this song on the show on February 8, 2005. Later that month, the duo embarked on the month-long, nation-wide One Tree Hill Tour along with Gavin DeGraw, Tyler Hilton, and Bethany Joy Lenz. Michelle later expressed her dislike of going on tour without releasing an album first. "Stand Still, Look Pretty" became that album. It was released on May 23, 2006, debuting at number fourteen on the U.S. Billboard 200 with 44,000 copies sold in its first week. Though the market for country music is generally smaller in the UK compared to the United States, the album reached number one on the country chart on that side of the Atlantic.

I would say it was your best line ever
Too bad I fell for it
And I walked alone
Waiting for you to come along
Take my tortured heart by the hand
And write me off
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
Well it forced me to become strong
And I just cry the pain away
And you think you know
And I would like to think so
But do you know that when you go
I fall apart
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
No it's not the good kind
I'm tired of hiding
Behind these lying eyes
I'm tired of this smile
That even I don't recognize
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
No you're not the good kind
Good kind
No you're not the good kind
Good kind
No you're not the good kind
The Wreckers' song, The Good Kind, tells the story of a girl who falls for a guy's charming line of running away together and finds herself waiting for him. She longs for him to come and take her heart in hand and write her off as his own. But as time goes by, she realizes that the guy is not what she thought he was - he doesn't understand her tears, her pain or her love. She cries, she dies, but not in the good way. Her tears are a symbol of her hurt and her despair, and she feels alone and isolated.
As the girl falls apart, she realizes that she is tired of hiding behind a smile that even she doesn't recognize. She wants the guy to know how she feels, to see the real her, to understand her tears. But the guy is not the "good kind" - he isn't there to support her or to share her pain. The girl is left alone with her tears, her pain and her heartache.
Overall, The Good Kind is a song about the fear of being alone, the pain of falling for the wrong person, and the loneliness of being misunderstood. It's a moving ballad that captures the raw emotions of heartbreak and betrayal.
