Formed in the now distant 2008, in the desolate and unforgiving wasteland that is swansea, south wales, TKIF are a highly charged four piece rock & roll outfit, dependant on subtle plaguerism and cider'n'black. Saw Susan live many years ago; one of the greatest voices I've ever heard. Thank God that there are still musicians like this, in a world that glorifies hubris and mediocrity.

Were it not for the new Chevy commercial (2022), I would not know of this great band. I thought for sure it was Bonnie Raitt when I heard the refrain on the commercial. Can't wait to hear more!

Susan has her own music out as well and Derek her husband on lead guitar played with the Allman Brothers before they decided to put their talents together and follow the path. So glad they did....keep digging you'll like what you find!

Have seen these guys live twice now; the first new band to really get me excited in probably 40 years or more. Besides the great vocals by Susan and the fantastic guitar from Derek, there's something that separates them from most blues-based bands, imho. There's a stream of optimism flowing through their music you don't normally see in a blues band. I think music is safe with these guys for the next 25 years or so.

Did you notice in this song, Derek is NOT playing with his slide, he is using his left hand in a "standard" fashion.

When I saw TTB 2 years ago they opened with this song in a very dramatic way. The usual blue/purple dim lights onstage while the band enters, Derek playing the intro but very quietly. Then Susan hits that first note (loudly) and the spotlight is on her. I swear the whole audience was pushed backwards a few inches. I was.

There is no doubt that Derek Trucks is the preeminent slide player today...no one matches his playing and he is mesmerizing to watch move around on that fretboard and how he strums. Susan is channeling every great blues singer there ever was and if she doesn't do something new with Bonnie Raitt I will never understand it.

Also a funny story from the same concert... I used to like to get as close as possible hoping to pick up some riffs... useless and my hearing suffered, so now I sit towards the middle. I wanted to get a couple of pics so I meandered up to the stage when I felt this "Claw" on my arm pulling me away. This little blue-haired lady was hauling me away from what I found out later was the VIP $$ section. Nope, not even long enough for one photo! LOL
