There for Tomorrow was a band from Orlando, Florida that combines alternative rock/post-hardcore music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Christian Climer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jay Enriquez (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Kamrada (drums). They were signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records until 2013 .
There for Tomorrow formed in 2003 at a time when all of its members were teenagers (although Christian Climer did not join the band until 2006). They were originally called The Kick Off, but changed their name after playing numerous local shows. The band's debut album Point of Origin was released on 30 April 2004. They began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. After the tour, they met with James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore), who produced their 2007 Pages EP, which attracted the attention of the alternative rock label Hopeless Records. He returned to produce their self titled EP, released on 5 August 2008, featuring the first single "No More Room to Breathe." Just over three months later, the band won the MTVU Woodie Award for breakout artist of the year, beating established acts such as All Time Low and We the Kings.
In February 2009, the band joined We the Kings with other bands on the Secret Valentine Tour. They also played on the 2009 Warped Tour. A Little Faster, There for Tomorrow's debut full-length album on Hopeless Records, was released on 9 June 2009.
Their third full-length studio album, The Verge, was released on June 28, 2011.
Their self released EP Nightscape was released on October 21, 2014.
The group is influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, and The Hives.
On November 19, the band posted a statement on Facebook, officially announcing the end of the band. They played their farewell shows during December 2014.

I know that it's my fault you don't understand (no)
I got memories, this is crazy
You ain't nothing like the girl I used to know
Good with ma, good with pa, cool with all my friends
I should try, to decide, want to let you in, but (no) that means memories, and it's crazy
You ain't nothing like the girl I used to know
And I really hope you still want me the way I want you (you, you)
I said I really wanna work this out, but girl I'm trying, it's no excuse, no excuse
[Chorus]
(But I got this) I got this Icebox where my heart used to be
(But I got this) Icebox where my heart used to be (I said I got it)
(No) I'm so Cold, I'm So Cold, I'm So Cold, I'm So Cold (I said I got it)
(No) I'm so Cold, I'm So Cold, I'm So Cold, I'm So Cold
Why can't I get it right? Just can't let it go?
I open up she let me down
I won't feel that no more (no)
I got memories this is crazy
You ain't nothing like the girl I used to know
I don't mean to take it out on you baby but I can't help it
'Cause my heart is in the same old condition that baby left it
(And I) I apologize for making you cry
Look me in my eyes and promise you wont do me the same
Girl I really wanna work this out 'cause I'm tired of fighting (fighting)
And I really hope you still want me the way I want you (you, you)
I said I really wanna work this out, but girl I'm trying, it's no excuse, no excuse
[Chorus]
I don't wanna be stuck off in this cold, cold world
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
I don't wanna be stuck off in this cold cold world (I don't want to be)
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl
Girl I really wanna work this out cause I'm tired of fighting (fighting)
And I really hope you still want me the way I want you (you, you)
I said I really wanna work this out, but girl I'm trying, it's no excuse, no excuse
[Chorus]
I'm so cold
The lyrics of There for Tomorrow's "Ice Box" paint a picture of a turbulent relationship between two people who have had a falling out. The singer acknowledges his past mistakes and confesses his desire to work things out with his partner. However, he is conflicted because he has memories of the person she used to be, and she is no longer the same. He questions why he can't get it right and why he can't let things go. The chorus asserts that he has an icebox where his heart used to be, indicating that he has become emotionally detached and is protecting himself from getting hurt again. He repeats that he is so cold, emphasizing this emotional numbness.
The singer apologizes for having made her cry and urges her not to hurt him in the same way. He doesn't want to be stuck in a cold world and doesn't want to mess things up. He implores her to keep her eye on him so that he doesn't lose her. The repetition of "Don't wanna mess this up better keep your eye on me girl" underscores his fear of losing her and his wish to make things right.
The song's mood is melancholic and introspective, laced with heartfelt apologies and a yearning to patch things up. The chorus is a memorable refrain that captures the emotional tenor of the song. The theme of emotional detachment is a recurring motif in contemporary pop music, resonating with audiences who have experienced emotional pain and loss.
