This World Fair formerly went by the name 'Kalgren'. This World Fair were discovered in 2004 by the girlfriend of their manager Grammy Award-winning record producer, Stephen Short. Past This World Fair and Kalgren members include George Hadfield (bass), DJ House (guitar) and Tyler Jorenby (drums). In 2007, This World Fair toured with acts such as Under the Influence of Giants, Guster, Phantom Planet, and Quietdrive. During early 2008, This World Fair transformed from being a band in to the stage-name of lead singer-songwriter Chris Kalgren, similar to the form of solo-acts such as Aqualung (Matt Hales) and A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol).
This World Fair recorded and cowrote the track "Don't Make Me Wait"[6] featured in the Dreamwork's film, Disturbia, released 13 April 2007. A music video for this song made by Disturbia's director, DJ Caruso, was produced by Lakeshore Records. The music video is included as an extra feature on the DVD, HDDVD, and Bluray releases of the film.
In January of 2008, This World Fair toured across the Midwest. Throughout the month of February of 2008, Chris Kalgren of This World Fair produced an upcoming album by Ari Herstand at Pachyderm Studio near Minneapolis, MN. Most recently, This World Fair headlined the Chipotle Rhythm Kitchen stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI and embarked on a Midwest and West Coast tour through July 2008.

This World Fair Lyrics

Stain my reality - cause this is what I need
Don't pull a punch on me
Don't back down
Don't stray from the play
You want us to believe you live for
Wading through this irony
She don't wanna make a big scene
But, with such a big stage and such a big screen
She will
She will she got the best of me
You got me pullin teeth
You got me beat
Cause everyone know I'm your pawn and you're my queen
Drama is swallowing me
Wading through this irony
She don't wanna make a big scene
But, with such a big stage and such a big screen
She will
She say yeah
She say no
Drama with a capital D
Wading through this irony
She don't wanna make a big scene
But, with such a big stage and such a big screen
She will
The lyrics to "Drama" by This World Fair seem to be about someone who is caught up in a cycle of drama and manipulation, unable to break free from the influence of the person who is controlling them. The first verse suggests that the singer is willing to sacrifice their own dreams and aspirations in order to please this person, who seems to demand nothing less than complete devotion. The second verse urges this person not to hold back or compromise, but to stay true to the dramatic persona they have created for themselves.
The chorus reinforces the idea that drama is all-consuming, something that has overshadowed the singer's life and left them struggling to find a way out. The line "She don't wanna make a big scene" implies that there is a conscious awareness of the destructive nature of this dynamic, but the pull of the drama is too strong to resist. The final verse emphasizes the scale of the drama, with the capitalization of the letter "D" in the word, and suggests that the singer is trapped in a cycle that they can't escape from.
Overall, the lyrics of "Drama" paint a picture of someone who is struggling with a toxic relationship or situation, and who feels powerless to break free from it. The use of imagery such as staining and swallowing reinforces the idea that drama is something that consumes and controls, leaving little room for anything else.
