Burn everything that I love, I'd wait a lifetime
I didn't know what I had 'til it was not mine
'Til you were not mine
I said I wait for no man, but I'd wait for you
And my heart has frozen into something new
And I know I'm broken, but I wait for you
I know you think that I should be over it
I know you think that I would be loving this
What you don't know, what you don't know is, whoa
I'd bet my dollar on you, I'd bet my last dime
Burn everything that I love, I'd wait a lifetime
I didn't know what I had 'til it was not mine
'Til you were not mine, 'til I was not blind
I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet my dollar on you, I'd bet my last dime
I'd bet my, I'd bet my, I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet my dollar on you (whoa)
He said, "I know you're stubborn, a little devilish too
And it's not the first time I've been stung by you"
I can hear you saying, "Is this the truth?"
Whoa-oh (whoa)
I know you think that I should be over it
I know you think that I would be lovin' this
What you don't know (what you don't know)
What you don't know is (what you don't know is)
Ohh
I'd bet my dollar on you, I'd bet my last dime
Burn everything that I love, I'd wait a lifetime
I didn't know what I had 'til it was not mine
'Til you were not mine (oh), 'til I was not blind
I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet my dollar on you, I'd bet my last dime
I'd bet my, I'd bet my, I'd bet my dollar on you
Whoa-oh (whoa)
I'd bet, I'd bet, I'd bet my dollar on you
I'd bet, I'd bet, I'd bet my dollar on you
Whoa (for no man)
(But my heart has frozen) whoa
(And I know I'm broken) ooh, ooh
(But I'd wait for you) I'd bet my dollar on you
The song "Bet My Dollar" by Tiësto & Freya Ridings explores the depths of love and the willingness to take risks for someone you care about deeply. The singer of the song expresses their unwavering faith and devotion to their loved one, even under challenging circumstances. The song highlights the conflicting emotions that arise after a breakup. The singer acknowledges that others might think they should have moved on by now, but they are still holding on to the hope of reconciliation. They are willing to wait, despite feeling broken, because their love for this person is undeniable.
Overall, "Bet My Dollar" delves into themes of unwavering faith, regret, and the complexities of love and relationships. It captures the bittersweet emotions that can emerge when we realize the true worth of something or someone after it's too late.
