From 1998 to 2000, Tiësto collaborated with Ferry Corsten under the name Gouryella. His 2000 remix of Delerium's "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001, he released his first solo album, In My Memory, which gave him several major hits that launched his career. He was voted World No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine in its annual Top 100 DJs readership poll consecutively for three years from 2002 to 2004.
Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be he performed live at the 2004 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Athens, the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. In April 2007 Tiësto launched his radio show Tiësto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album Elements of Life. The album reached number one on the Belgian album chart as well on Billboard Top Electronic Albums in the U.S. and received a nomination for a Grammy Award in 2008. And your heartache is tidal wave
Oh you can pull me under
Oh you can pull me under
When euphoria is hit and run
And you are drowning in a heatless sun
Oh you can pull me under
So let's wash away the night
Into a neon scene of light
Away we'll drive into a town called paradise
Into a town called paradise
When you are buried in the world eclipse
And there's nobody to help you left
Oh you can pull me under
Oh you can pull me under
When you are running out of dreams to catch
And every morning is an hourglass
Oh you can pull me under
Oh you can pull me under
So let's wash away the night
Into a neon scene of light
Away we'll drive into a town called paradise
Into a town called paradise
When your sanity is a hurricane
When your sanity is a hurricane
When your sanity is a hurricane
When your sanity is a hurricane
It's a hurricane
Oh you can pull me under
Pull me under
So let's wash away the night
Into a town called paradise
Into a town called paradise
Into a town called paradise
Tiësto's song "Paradise" talks about being there for someone when they are going through tough times. The lyrics speak of various situations like heartache, drowning, and running out of dreams, and how the person can pull the singer under, but instead of letting them drown, the singer is willing to be pulled under and be there with them through it all. The song talks about the idea of finding paradise, a place where everything is perfect, but it doesn't have to be a physical place. It can be a moment or a feeling, and the singer wants to create that feeling with the person they care about.
The lyrics suggest that sometimes life can be overwhelming, and we might feel like we are drowning, but having someone there with us through it all can make all the difference. It's the idea of being there for each other, supporting each other, and making each other's burdens a little bit lighter. The song encourages listeners to create moments of paradise in their lives, moments of happiness and peace.
Overall, Tiësto's "Paradise" is a song about support, hope, and finding moments of happiness even in tough times. It reminds us that we don't have to face life's challenges alone, and that simply being there for someone can make all the difference in the world.
