1. Time was a rock band from ex-Yugoslavia that was formed in 1971 in Zagreb, Croatia, by Dado Topić (vocals), after leaving his previous band Korni Grupa.
The original lineup consisted of Topić, Tihomir Pop Asanović (organ), Vedran Božić (guitar), Mario Mavrin (bass), Ratko Divjak (drums), and Brane Lambert Živković (piano and flute). Time frequently changed lineup, and after three albums and many tours disbanded in late 1977. Topić embarked on a solo career.
In 1998 and 2001 Time reunited to play a limited number of live concerts, and still play together as a rock trio.
Time played a style of progressive rock with some jazz influences, perhaps similar to musical notions expressed by Genesis or Steely Dan. The first album, Time I (1972), had prominent Hammond organ, piano, and flute. Time II (1975) had a harder sound and included several ballads, while the third album, Život u čizmama s visokom petom (1976), was a turn towards more jazz-funk production style.
2. Time was an art-rock band with a strong British slant, holding a middle ground between the psychedelic 1967 Pepper field and the cerebral excursions of the early prog era. In 1967 Lynn David Newton formed formed the group, originally calling it Time. Later they were known as Think Dog!. As Time they released only one album Before There Was... in 1968.
3. Time is a solo rapper/emcee from Denver, Colorado. He is the front man for the group Calm. with producer AwareNess. Time has toured all over the world and worked with the likes of Sole, C-Rayz Walz, and Kool Keith.
4. Time was an Italo-disco group, best known for the single "Love Is the Reason".

Hungry Suitcase
Time Lyrics

Look how hungry that suitcase is
I'm gonna pack my love and chris
I'm a go far away, where the skies are grey
And turn em blue with thoughts of you
And if it rains, I'll water the weeds
Cause I believe anything can succeed
I'm still waiting for my train to take me to the sky
Sent her a telegram and said I was gone
Said I'd explain it all in one of my songs
She had to leave me cause I had a job
But if I don't have a job then I don't have money
And with no money there's no food in the stomach
So either way your love life plummets
But that's a lie, she's with me everyday
From the grocery store to where the little kids play
She's on my paper and she's in my pen
She's my lover and my best friend
Sent her a postcard from up the street
Said I'd be gone 40 hours for 52 weeks
I love you, I'm so happy, say it to the mirror
I'm coming home, with my paycheck as a souvenir
I love you, I'm so happy, say it to the mirror
I'm coming home, with freetime as a souvenir
I love you, I'm so happy, say it to the mirror
I got one love called music
And every time she made me cry
She wrote me a song and apologized
(My suitcase has hearts in it)
I picked out the hearts from all my runts
Filled up my suitcase I'll be gone for months
She was crying ink, I wiped her face with a loose leaf
Fighting my emotions like I was Bruce Lee
Sometimes it takes a loose tooth to see
Everything truthfully
I put the you in truth with a turn
Asked if could buy a vowel as the tires burned
I jumped off the treble clef and opened the D
Double O are to see where she could B
I lifted up her skirt and put my hand on her keys
I hit a couple C notes followed by a G
I tried to put some sunshine in her blue note
But Donald Byrd flew away for new hope
I gotta work but I gotta sing
But I gotta sleep at night cause I'm a human being (bang)
We used to share toothbrushes
Now we share the truth about other crushes
I love it, it's more real than cancer
But it's more faker than a Hollywood dancer
But if it wasn't for her then I wouldn't be alive
And I'd probably have everything stuck inside
She gives me freedom and she gives me pain
But when you mix that with love it's all the same
Every time we break up we grow back stronger
What I call single's just a song to her
I promise I'm a make it, we'll tour the world
Me and my music, you're a women not a girl
(You're a women not a girl)
(My suitcase has hearts in it)
(I'm coming home, with hearts in me)
I got one love called music
And every time she made me cry
She wrote me a song and apologized
(My suitcase has hearts in it)
(You want to know what I respect about women?
It's that they can fall asleep next to a man without
Any lust)
The lyrics to Time's song Hungry Suitcase touch on various themes of love, loss, and separation. The opening line, "love stories they end in airports" sets the tone of the song and suggests that love is often fleeting, like a traveler's journey. The singer then describes their plan to pack their love and leave, hoping to find solace in a place where they can turn grey skies blue with thoughts of their loved one. The mention of making meringue pie from lemons life gives them conveys their optimism and determination to make the most of tough situations.
The singer reveals that their loved one had to leave due to work, but they try to maintain the relationship through postcards, telegrams, and songs. Despite the physical distance, they remain emotionally connected through their shared experiences, thoughts, and feelings. The lines "she's on my paper and she's in my pen, she's my lover and my best friend" highlight the importance of communication and self-expression in their relationship. The singer acknowledges the struggles of having a job and balancing love, but ultimately, they believe that their love makes everything worthwhile.
