In June 2005, Time Again released a self-titled EP on Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen of Rancid Records. This EP would result in heavy radio play on several Los Angeles radio stations, including Fungus 53 XM, which would name the EP as one of the top 25 albums of 2005, and the song "I Go Back" as one of the top 10 songs of 2005. The band released their debut full-length, The Stories are True, on April 25, 2006, on Hellcat Records.
In August 2006 Brian left the band to play guitar for Mad Marge and the Stonecutters and was replaced with Tyler Price, who was then replaced by Oren Soffer.
Before the 2008 autumn tour Ryan decided to return home to Alaska, and was replaced with Jake "Belush" Margolis.In late 2008, founding member Elijah announced he would be leaving the band for a 2 year hiatus. The band were originally decided to take a break, but ultimately replaced Elijah with Kris Idol.
In late 2011, Dart was arrested on multiple charges including Kidnapping, Carjacking, Dissuading a Witness, Assault and Extortion among others. He was originally sentenced to 6 years although he denied any wrongdoing vehemently. In 2013 he won an appeal and was released shortly thereafter in 2014. He originally did not speak publicly about this after being released, but in June 2015 while announcing the revival of Time Again he finally spoke out in Czech Republic magazine Kids and Heroes about how winning his appeal and getting released was one of the most victorious days of his life.
A reunion album was planned for release in 2016, but never materialized. The band's current status is unknown.
