That same year Rojas joined the Fania All-Stars and had a hit song with "El Campesino" (The Farmer). After spending some time with the Fania All-Stars, Rojas decided to form his own band the "Conjunto Borincano", but the venture was short lived. In 1987 and 1989, he had hits with the salsa versions of the ballads "Noche de Bodas" (Wedding Night), and "Quiereme Como Soy" (Love me the way I am). These were accomplished after he joined the "Puerto Rican Power" band.
In 1990, Rojas went "solo" and recorded the albums "Condename" (1990) "Sensual" (1991) and "A Mi Estilo" (My Style) (1994), however it was his 1995 recording "Por Propio Derecho" (On my own right), that placed Rojas on the Latin Billboards hit list. He gained the recognition he always wanted when he won a double Platinum Record Award, the Paoli Prize for "Best Salsa Artist of the Year" and an "ACE" Award.
In 1996, Rojas had hits with Humildemente (Humbly) and Pal' Pueblo (For my town), he also released 20th Aniversario, Alegrias y Penas and Navidad con Tito in 1999. Rojas continued to record music steadily into the new millenium. His most recent album album "Sin Comentarios" (Without Comments) was released in 2007.
He Chocado Con La Vida
Tito Rojas Lyrics

Y me abrazaba la vida
Jurándome en un supiro
Que mi rumbo cambiaría
Yo tengo por qué vivir
He tenido que aprenderlo
Ya no me embriago de vino
Ahora me embriago de besos
No me detuve en el pare
Que la vida me había puesto
La luz roja me apuraba
Y el destino estaba presto
He chocado pero nunca como ahora
He vuelto a la vida
Pues mi gente me añora
He vuelto a la vida, pues mi gente me añora
No me detuve en el pare
Que la vida me habia puesto
La luz roja me apuraba
Y el destino estaba presto
He chocado pero nunca como ahora
He vuelto a la vida, pues mi gente me añora
He vuelto a la vida, pues mi gente me añora
(He chocado con la vida tantas veces)
He sentido que la vida me derriba
Pero ahora entiendo todas las señales
(He chocado con la vida tantas veces)
Yo me preguntaba pues no me acordaba
He tenido
He tenido que aprenderlo
Mira pa' allá (He chocado)
Otra vez
The lyrics to Tito Rojas's song "He Chocado Con La Vida" tell the story of the artist's struggle with the ups and downs of life. The song starts with a confession - one night, he wished for death, but life embraced him and promised to change his path. The artist reveals that he now has a reason to live, and that he has learned not to indulge in alcohol but instead in kisses. He reflects on not stopping at the stop sign that life had put in front of him, and how the red light rushed him towards a predestined fate. Despite having clashed with life many times in the past, he has never been resurrected as he has now, with his people missing him heavily. The artist recognizes that the signals of harsh realities should not be ignored and that he does not want to crash again.
The song's theme is that life puts up signs that we should heed if we want to avoid "crashing." The artist admits that he has "crashed" many times, and that he does not want to do it again. The song's message is about learning from our experiences, avoiding unnecessary difficulties, and discovering the purpose of life. The lyrics also offer hope to those who might think that their situation is hopeless. In conclusion, the song is about accepting life's challenges and moving forward to create a brighter future.
