Tokunbo Akinro - vocals
Morten Klein- tenor saxophone and mouth drums
Before founding "Tok Tok Tok", Tokunbo Akinro and Morten Klein, the creative and organizing heart of the band, worked together in various other projects. Their musical search for melodic beauty associated with groove and soul led them to find their completing parts in each other. Like on "Ruby soul" from 2002, they continue to concentrate on the song qualities of their acoustic soul compositions. The CDs "It took so long" and "About" speak for themselves.
Christian Flohr - double bass:
Christian is the bass player with double- and electric- bass. The absence of drums (except Morten Kleins mouth drums) offer them the opportunity to exhibit timing and lyrical musicality in their bass playing.
Jens Gebel - fender rhodes:
Jens is a multi instrumentalist. He is a very sensitive musician and it seems as if he never did any other thing than playing the rhodes at Tok Tok Tok. Keep on flying with his harmonies

'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no
When I'm drivin' in my car
When the man come on the radio
He's tellin' me more and more
About some useless information
Oh, no, no, no
Oh, hey, hey, hey
That's what I say
I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no
When I'm watchin' my TV
And a man comes on and tells me
How white my shirts could be
But, he can't be a man
'Cause he doesn't smoke
The same cigarettes as me
Oh, no, no, no,
Oh, hey, hey, hey
That's what I say
I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
I can't get no, I can't get no
When I'm ridin' 'round the world
And I'm doin' this and I'm signin' that
And I'm tryin' to please some boy
Who tells me
Oh, baby, better come back maybe next week
Can't you see I'm on a losing street?
Oh, no, no, no
Oh, hey, hey, hey
That's what I say
The song Satisfaction by Tok Tok Tok covers The Rolling Stones' classic rock anthem with a jazz twist. The lyrics convey a sense of frustration and discontentment despite one's constant efforts to seek fulfillment. The repetition of the phrase "I can't get no satisfaction" emphasizes the singer's struggle to find joy in life's experiences.
The first verse describes the singer's situation while driving and listening to the radio. The man on the radio offers irrelevant information that does not "drown" the singer's imagination but rather extinguishes it. The second verse depicts the experience of watching commercials on television that suggest how the singer can improve their life, and yet they still feel unfulfilled. The third verse conveys the singer's struggles while they are traveling and trying to please someone who continuously rejects their efforts.
The song's simple yet powerful lyrics resonate with listeners who can relate to the sense of dissatisfaction and lack of fulfillment in their lives. The song has become an anthem for anyone who is struggling to find meaning in their lives or striving to achieve their goals but feeling like they are not making any progress.
