It moved to Tokyo in 1938 and has some 166 members as of 2005.
From 1991 to 1996, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra performed a series of 5 concerts known as the Orchestral Game Concert. In the concert they performed several songs from videogames of several different series from the NES, SNES and Gameboy.
The orchestra plays at Orchard Hall, part of the Bunkamura shopping and entertainment complex in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra also made a live recording of an orchestral concert of arranged video game music from the Final Fantasy video game series. The album, named 20020220 music from FINAL FANTASY contains a selection of musical tracks from the games and it was first released on May 9, 2002, by DigiCube, and subsequently re-released on July 22, 2004, by Square Enix.

Such an amazing medley! DL3 and 64 both have amazing music that they could fill an entire concert with just music from those games. But the songs they did pick are fantastic and that finale with the Zero 2 theme is absolutely awesome.

I love Kirby the medley because it brings back the nostalgia of the past
games of kirby games we played as a child or now and for new people who
started playing the series or starting it all over to remember the past
of it. and I liked the crystal shards and dream land 3 because each
characther had a unique personality of all the animal friends, Adeleine
and Ribbon, Waddle dee (maybe Bandana waddle dee or not) and King dedede
of helping Kirby to save the world from dark matter.

@ClefairyRox had a look at some gameplay they really went all out in including every Classic Kirby game they even included a history section wherein they included reference history for two obscure gameboy titles (star stacker and block ball) I may have to track down a copy someday and play it thank you.

Y'know I normally justify the unexpectedly dark kirby final bosses' ability to exist by just saying "Nintendo just isn't paying very close attention."
Welp. The theme to one of said bosses is the finale to this orchestral performance, so yeah. Nintendo IS aware of kirby's rouge's gallery of eldritch horrors.
