1. A French Electronic music producer (now named Tommy '86), very inspired by 80's music such as synth-wave, synth-pop, new-wave, italo-disco, and other related genres. He started to make music in mid-2011, but produced his first synthwave tracks only at the beginning of 2012. After listening to a track of College he had the idea to do this kind of music. His first synth-wave productions had enough feedback to encourage him to continue. Tommy has released a few singles, three EP, one LP and some remixes, for other synth-wave artists such as Awkoder, Protector 101, Future Feelings and Gossip Culture. He also released three other remixes for three more established electronic artists: Kavinsky, Lifelike and Sébastien Tellier. "Getting high" is one of the four remixes chosen by Lifelike & Popular Computer themselves and has been released on their own Computer Science label.
2. Pop-punk band from Ukiah, CA with a penchant for gang vocals. Comprised of: Tim Parks - Guitar, Vocals; Christian Freeman - Drums; Luke Slinkert - Vox, Guitar and Chad Goodin - Bass, Vocals and signed to independent label Bound By The Black Rag records. They kick it.
3. Songwriter, Tommy Donald Colin from Belgium writes his songs, his words and composes his arrangements on his own, creating a sensitive sound directed towards melody, giving a positive energy while remaining cool. Then he leaves his roots, folk, rock, oriental or still electro, and surrounds himself with his musicians Dominique Djian (keys), Olivier Duck Calmeyn (bass) and Benoit Fix Derycke (drums) with whom a genuine band spirit has arisen.
4. Tommy is a 4 piece rock band that originated in Beijing. All 4 met as expats living overseas and formed in early 2005. Members include Joe Bissell (guitar, vocals), David Su (drums), Mitchell Marecki (bass), Chris Suderman (Keyboards, backing vocals). Their style involves extensive jams, fusing of many genres into rock (suck as jazz, and even Indian melodies), and unorthodox stage shows. Tommy has recently had an offer to sign to a record label in Beijing which they had to refuse due to legal complications.
5. Tommy from New Zealand brings together the moods of reggae, rock, soul and a dash of pop in a melodic melting pot to form their 'folk roots' sound. Comfortably sitting alongside the adult contemporary music of Jack Johnson and the John Butler Trio, Tommy's sound is rooted in soothing melodies and flowing piano lines which meld in an organic blend that is unmistakably from Aotearoa.
6. There is also a duo comprised of Carrie Brownstein and Lois Maffeo called Tommy, and they've only recorded a song called "Go Sonics".
7. A Norwegian guitarist and vocalist. Is a guitarist in the famous Norwegian folkrock band, PLUMBO.
8. Another project by Hayden Anhedönia (Ethel Cain).
Orchids in the Moonlight

Till you waltz in late at night
Glazed eyes, and something that smells
Not quite off, but not quite right, oh
It's not enough that you threaten
To leave me alone
When I already feel alone
This is not working out
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing matters
You're high as a fucking kite
We can't get there
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing else to see round here
I'll miss you but I'm not sincere
And I won't be the only one
Who's glad you are gone
Some things will never change
But you can try if you want
Push harder, that's your life's motto
They'll cave when they've had enough
Never entertain the possibility
That you're the one who's wrong
We cannot keep this up
I can't find you
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing matters
You're high as a fucking kite
I can't do this
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing else to keep me here
I'd miss you but I'm not sincere
And you won't be the only one
Who's glad I am gone
Bruises, no, that's not the game
Nor petty little word play
Cut it out, you pessimistic twat
You remind me of a blood clot
That no one can see till they're dead
I'm not about to make your bed
Your wired thoughts are seeping through
I need to catch my breath
I can't find you
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing matters
You're high as a fucking kite
We can't get there
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing else to see round here
I'll miss you but I'm not sincere
And I won't be the only one
Who's glad you are gone
I don't want you
You're lost in the moonlight
Nothing matters
You're high as a fucking kite
I won't do this
You're lost in the moonlight
Time for me to see ya later
Go cry for me, but over there
And I can say with certainty
I'm glad you are gone
Tommy's song "Orchids in the Moonlight" tells the story of a relationship that is falling apart due to substance abuse. The singer's partner is frequently high and disconnected from reality, and their behavior is causing strain in the relationship. The singer feels alone and unable to connect with their partner, even when they are physically present. The use of imagery such as "lost in the moonlight" and "high as a fucking kite" illustrates the sense of detachment and disorientation that comes with drug use.
The singer expresses frustration with their partner's behavior and a desire to move on from the relationship. The line "some things will never change, but you can try if you want" suggests that the partner's substance abuse is unlikely to improve, but the singer is open to the possibility if their partner is willing to seek help. However, the partner shows no signs of changing and eventually the singer decides it's time to end things. The final stanza is a declaration of finality, with the singer expressing relief that their partner is gone and asserting that they won't be coming back.
Overall, the song captures the heartbreak and weariness that often come with relationships impacted by addiction. The singer loves their partner but feels powerless to help them, and ultimately decides that the best thing for both of them is to move on.
