Then Comes You

Gone for a while, but you're always worth the wait
Your presence makes colors change
I'm happy you're finally back again
After summer, must come fall
Winter's though, and then comes you and
Raindrops bounce back to the sky
I'm living my dream.
So I'm dreaming about life
Temperature's rising with your warm embrace
I'm soaking up every inch of your face
My worry seem to disappear
Every time you come near
Every time you come near
After summer, must come fall
Winter's though, and then comes you and
Raindrops bounce back to the sky
Sun goes down, and then you rise
I'm living my dream.
So I'm dreaming about life
The time has come for you to leave
I wish that you could stay right here
But lucky for me I know that you
Will be back next year
When
Raindrops bounce back to the sky
Sun goes down, and then you rise
I'm living my dream.
So I'm dreaming about life
I'm dreaming about
Life
The song "Then Comes You" by Tone Damli talks about the happiness and excitement that comes with the return of a loved one who has been away for a while. The lyrics depict the anticipation and joy of meeting someone who brings colors to life and makes worries disappear. The singer expresses her contentment in the presence of this person, feeling the temperature rise with their warm embrace and soaking up every inch of their face. She feels that she is living her dream as she dreams about life in her lover's company.
The song progresses to acknowledge the inevitability of separation, but the singer is not saddened by it as she knows that this person will come back next year. The repetitive refrain of "After summer, must come fall, winter's tough, and then comes you" reflects the cyclical nature of life and its ups and downs. The song amplifies the significance of having someone to share life's joys and sorrows with, and the comfort in knowing that they will always come back again.
