Joined 'The Searchers ' early 1960s, and was lead singer on two hits, 'Sweets for my Sweet' and 'Sugar and Spice'. Nicknamed Black Jack . Fell out with the group and left in 1964. Formed other groups, including The Vibrations, but his musicak career slowly foundered. Tried various other jobs, and tried musical comebacks, but was un successful. Had cosmetic surgery on his nose soon after leaving the Searchers, but always had a phobia about his looks, which tended to make him unsociable.

However, soon after she realizes that the guy has a flirty nature and she decides to leave him before he hurts her feelings.
