Great reaction as usual guys! Some more background info & lore FYI:

BJ was right about the winged beast the Nazgul was riding, it is not a dragon. Though not formerly named, Tolkien refers to them as Fell Beasts in the book. If you want to see a proper dragon you will have to watch The Hobbit prequel trilogy.

The Wizards (or Istari in Elvish) are in fact angelic beings, known as Maia sent to Middle Earth by The Valar, or Gods, in the guise of old men to advise & aid the peoples of Middle Earth in their struggles against Sauron. That is how Gandlaf was able to be reborn & returned to continue his task (with an upgrade).

Saruman, once head of The Istari, became corrupted merely by researching The One Ring. In the books he is only pretending to side with Sauron, hoping to buy time to find The Ring for himself, overthrow Sauron & rule in his stead.

Sauron & the Balrog (the demon that Gandalf fought) were also Maia, only more akin to fallen angels.

BJ: “No, that’s not a dragon - that’s a flying Loch Ness monster!”

😂😂😂

Fell Beast

Tounushi

A Fell Beast is described as being something ancient and foul, like a cheap parody of the Eagles. So something between an amphibian and a reptile is fitting. Fun fact, in modern understanding the Finnish word for dragon sounds like "salmon serpent." And that thing looks like it's halfway between a winged snake and a fish.

Gabriele Solletico

That's notably, because most of non-Tolkien's fan always think that those are dragons (Like Asia also though), while B.J. could immediately catch that those are NOT dragons. Really noticeable, my friend!

I'm glad I wasn't drinking when he said this.

Guts

....he said he want about a tree fiddy.

Well, it was about that damn time that I realized that that wasn't no dragon! It was that damn Loch Ness monster again. And I said "Damn you Loch Ness monster! Why you keep following us, trying to get a tree fiddy?!"

Woman: I done gave him a dollar last week.

Damn you, woman! Well, no wonder he keeps comin' back.

Bernard Hill absolutely crushes it as Theoden. Every scene he is in is gold and that never stops.

Sparky

So true, you don't even know the character and in less than 5 minutes you are rooting for him as he is pulling his sword out back in rejuvenated health, plus the Rohan theme song is so good.

James LeBlanc

@Sparky his battle speech in Return of the King is one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history. “Death!”

Morothane

@Sparky Such a tragic character too. This is a King who, not just because of his own faults, saw Rohan suffer and fall into despair. He lost his only child, son, and heir. He continually focused on his time as king never living up to stories of the Golden Age of Rohan with heroes like Helm Hammerhand. Yet still, he stands. Still, he rides. Still, he always strives to uphold the valor, honor, and history he was given. Hail Theoden King!
