Her uncle was also shot and murdered that day…they had just gotten her dress for her show we were so excited to see her perform when this tragedy happened smh we were in 8th grade…He was my best friends dad and we spent some amazing times with Tracey she is the reason I wear silk/satin house dresses and am the coolest Gaga ever I loved hanging with her and the Baker/Webber family RIP Tracey RIP Mr. B and aunt Mimi I love this family they definitely taught me how to be an OG

@@LBFAMZQUEENJOSEPHINE It's really dramatic, a rising star who disappears tragically from one day to the next, for gang reasons, it's unfair, life is unfair, his death is unfair. I'm a fan of her talent, her voice, her music, even though I'm not from her generation, I was born much later. Just the idea of seeing her live on tour would have been a dream for me, and I would have loved to have met her. You're privileged, you don't realise. Tracy Weber, her music, her voice, had a profound impact on me. If only I could have exchanged a few words with her and learnt more about her art and talent, or even played with her, as I am a musician. If you had the chance to know her, I would be honoured to hear your memories of her.

I knew Tracy who was an alumni of my high school. She was there when my older sister attended. I was a freshman at Andrew Jackson High school when she was killed in Harlem in 1981. We were all anticipating the release of the record. The true irony is that the bullet was meant for her brother and hit her instead. The record came out and reached to something like #3 on the charts. We were devastated because we could only wonder how successful Tracy would have been if she lived. I really enjoy it that people are still enjoying this timeless song. God bless.

Thanks for sharing your memories with us.

+Andrew Vickers I was personally devastated upon hearing she was killed. Such a wonderful voice to lose her so early on. To this day I love this song and love to play it...god bless you in heaven Tracy Weber.
