Hailing from Northern New Jersey, the band formed in early 2008. Fueled by the songwriting team of Doug Hoekstra (bass) and Joe DeProspero (vocals), Tragically Yours’ music crosses seamlessly between genres of rock, alternative and metal.
The band was founded when Hoekstra, looking for an avenue to “carry out songs that had been floating around in [his] mind for years,” recruited DeProspero and long-time friend Danny Glozzy (drums) to start a project. While writing songs and developing their style, the trio went through a long and arduous search for a lead guitarist to complete the lineup. Their efforts were ultimately rewarded when they united with Ian Stafford (guitar), formerly of the Sleeping Revolt, whose skill and versatility brought the band to a new level.

I live in Bronte, Tx. Named so for Charlotte. The choices for the name of our town were Oso and Bronco, but in the end Bronte was chosen. Which is saying something about how much her writing is loved. That a small west Texas town would choose to name itself after Charlotte Bronte over Bronco. I am glad they did.

Sounds like a place worth visiting, if not just for that.

I live in the village they were born.. was born and grew up a 5 minute walk away. Breaks my heart seeing what has happened to Bradford and what it is now

I grew up in Windsor MO. The citizenry were bickering about the towns name and after much debate made their choice. Unfortunately another town had already claimed it. The US Postal service told them that they could name their post office differently from the town. So rather than reopen the debate, the locals decided to give in to an old gent who was a great admirer of Queen Victoria. For awhile Mail was delivered to Windsor Post Office in X, MO (! I forget what the town was named). After a few years, the post office decided that was entirely too confusing to customers addressing mail to the town, and insisted on one name. The vehement supporters of alternative names had mostly died by then, and everyone was already accustomed to the Windsor Post Office, so the course of least resistance was to just name the town Windsor,
So perhaps your town had two factors who couldn't agree on either Oso or Bronco, and an old gent who kept shouting out 'Bronte!'😊

That's because there was already a Bronco, Texas.

Jane Eyre has been my favorite book since middle school. The monologue young Jane gives her aunt before she is taken away is cemented in my brain.
