[1] A South Korean band, TRAX (originally The TRAX) formed in the summer of 2004 by S.M. Entertainment and formerly produced by X Japan's co-founder Yoshiki. The name "TRAX" refers to "recording tracks", but also stands for the first letter of each original member's stage name, Typhoon of the Rose Attack on X-Mas. Originally a nu metal and alternative rock band, they changed to a straight pop rock sound when drummer Rose left in 2006.
In 2000, S.M. Entertainment decided to produce a rock group, which took them four years to materialize. The TRAX members, Typhoon, Rose, and Attack first appeared in the "2002 Survival Audition HeeJun vs. KangTa Battle of the Century" along with former TVXQ member Xiah Junsu and Super Junior's Sungmin and Eunhyuk. They debuted with single "Paradox" in July 2004. In May 2006, the drummer Rose left the band to pursue other interests. The band continued as a trio until 2007, when bassist Attack quietly disappeared from the band. In 2010, as a duo, the band released 2 mini-albums: "가슴이 차가운 남자" and "오! 나의 여신님". On November 10, 2011 TRAX made a return with their 3rd mini-album,"Blind", their first release in over a year.

The lyrics of TRAX’s “Alone” tell the story of a person who is waiting for someone they love to come back. The opening lines describe the person’s closed door, which no one has opened yet, and they wait in hope that the one they love will come back. Despite the silence in the room, the person still believes that their love is out there, and they are shouting to be heard. The person realizes that their love might not come back, but they still cling on to hope, waiting for the door to open.
The lyrics then turn to a metaphor for the person’s love. The person compares their love, which they cannot see, to a prisoner inside a jail cell. Even though they cannot see their love or be with them, they believe that their love is happy, because they are no longer burdened by the person’s love. The person then asks whether their love will forgive them for their mistakes and release them from their prison. The song ends with a realization that the person has nothing to offer and is nothing to the person they love.
Overall, the lyrics convey the deep longing and despair of a person who is waiting for someone they love. They are unsure if their love will come back to them or if they should move on. The use of metaphors like a closed door and a prison cell make the lyrics more complex and rich in meaning.
