[1] A South Korean band, TRAX (originally The TRAX) formed in the summer of 2004 by S.M. Entertainment and formerly produced by X Japan's co-founder Yoshiki. The name "TRAX" refers to "recording tracks", but also stands for the first letter of each original member's stage name, Typhoon of the Rose Attack on X-Mas. Originally a nu metal and alternative rock band, they changed to a straight pop rock sound when drummer Rose left in 2006.
In 2000, S.M. Entertainment decided to produce a rock group, which took them four years to materialize. The TRAX members, Typhoon, Rose, and Attack first appeared in the "2002 Survival Audition HeeJun vs. KangTa Battle of the Century" along with former TVXQ member Xiah Junsu and Super Junior's Sungmin and Eunhyuk. They debuted with single "Paradox" in July 2004. In May 2006, the drummer Rose left the band to pursue other interests. The band continued as a trio until 2007, when bassist Attack quietly disappeared from the band. In 2010, as a duo, the band released 2 mini-albums: "가슴이 차가운 남자" and "오! 나의 여신님". On November 10, 2011 TRAX made a return with their 3rd mini-album,"Blind", their first release in over a year.

Beat Traitor
Trax Lyrics

Go away the highway to downtown
And get mixed with a crowd
Shouting anger without voice
You gotta make up your face and past
Nobody can find your truth
Ah you are the beat traitor
Ruler's frightened at power of freedom
Born as a beat traitor
If you close your eyes
The impurity of the blue sky
The day you were born
Fills your heart
Listen to the news moisten at your tears
Hundred million miseries exist
Who′s gonna erase the future
Destiny gives us the final lecture
Born as a fighter of music
Born as a believer of love & peace
Ah you are the beat traitor
Ruler's frightened at time of comeback
Meotojireba
Umaretahi no aoi sora ga
Yogorenaki mune ni michiru
Communication avoids destruction
Creation breaks isolation
Ah you are the beat traitor
Ruler's frightened at joy of dreaming
Meotojireba
Umaretahi no aoi sora ga
Yogorenaki mune ni michiru
Namida kobosutame bokura
Ikiteirun naidaro
Yume miru nara meo akeyou
In the song "Beat Traitor," Trax talks about the importance of rebelling against the oppressive ruling class and embracing one's inner truth, even if it means going against societal norms. The lyrics suggest that in order to truly become a Beat Traitor, one must abandon the safety of the suburbs and venture into the urban center, where they can become one with the masses and shout out their anger without a voice. Being a beat traitor means embracing one's inner self and past, even if it's not comfortable or acceptable to others. It is a call to not be afraid to be different and to stand up against those who would try to control and oppress us.
In the second verse, Trax takes a more existential tone, asking who will erase the future with its "hundred million miseries" and blaming destiny for giving us the final lecture. Despite this bleak outlook, the song then pivots to a message of hope, suggesting that communication can avoid destruction and that creation can break isolation. The final lines urge us to open our eyes to our dreams and to embrace them.

Cube Zero rocks! It would be great to be a Cube Squad soldier. That's like the greatest job in the world because of their bio tech enhancements. Better to be the predator than the prey. Anyway, this song rocks too.

I love how Rose spins the drumstick between his finger like that.
