I really wish I knew what is this rhythmic sample in the beginning, I've heard it in so many other random tunes over the years I can't help but be curious.

If you're still looking, it's from the "Liquid Frame" suite from Spectrasonics StylusRMX, or at least based on / inspired by it.
It's used in a ridiculous amount of stuff, such as Burgh's Gym from Pokemon Black & White 2, Asteroid Coaster Area from Sonic Colors, and an ungodly number of random anime and visual novel BGMs.

Im curious too lol. I heard it on Gossip Girl and immediately recognized it (s1 e3) the scene is on youtube under the name "Gossip girl serena vanderwoodsen 16". I doubt shazam would help but i havent tried it.
