Got this badboy BITD. Proper hardcore...no cheese. Stripped down and dark. This smashed it in '92 and is a personal favorite. Those Mentasm samples are just perfect. Loved raving to this back then!

It's definitely up there. Kevin Saunderson is a musical genius - he heard the UK hardcore sound blowing up in 1991 and did his own take. So hard, mixing Detroit techno and breakbeat

spring of 1991, definately remember this one! KMS delivering some hardcore techno! (also loved Mentasm by Joey Beltram) and I remember on the A side- "Mental Techno" it had the T99 "Anasthasia" synths happening but a lot harder as well!

@Old Skool Wax For sure 100%. The 'official' Grooverider Remix was released in 1992. But all the tracks from that same EP (Spark Plug, Mental techno Remix etc) were being played via Test Pressings, Promos, Acetates etc from 1991. By Grooverider himself, Colin Dale and several others as well. Well before the end of 1991 into 1992 track for me.
