In 2011 and 2012, Contostavlos was a judge on the The X Factor and mentored the "Groups" category in her first year including Little Mix, the first ever group to win the competition to date. Contostavlos released her debut solo album in 2012, titled The Female Boss. On 16 March 2012 during a Twitter dispute with her cousin and bandmate Dappy Contostavlos announced that N-Dubz had in fact split up and were not taking a break as stated in 2011.
In 2011, it was announced that Tulisa would replace Cheryl Cole on the 'X Factor' judging panel along with Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland.
The Young Songfacts reports that in 2012 Tulisa released her debut solo single. Young was produced by STL, a production duo which was founded by Richard Rawson. It was premiered on Chris Moyle's BBC Radio 1 show on March 23, 2012 and released on May 6, 2012 through Island Records and All Around The World.
In 2009, Contostavlos turned down a £250,000 offer to pose nude for playboy magazine on moral grounds. She was also named at number 15 in FHM's '100 Sexiest Women in the World list' in the May 2010 issue, but has stated several times she will never strip for photos due to her moral beliefs . Contostavlos was in an on/off relationship with DJ Adam Bailey who she was reported to be engaged to in early 2009, but she finished with him when he was accused of GBH.

I'm talking loud, not saying much
I'm criticized, but all your bullets ricochet
you shoot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
fire away, fire away
ricochet, you take your aim
you shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
you shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
Cut me down, but it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town and haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud, not saying much
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
fire away, fire away
ricochet, you take your aim
fire away, fire away
you shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
you shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium
Stone hard, machine gun
Fired at the ones who run
Stone hard, as bulletproof glass
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down, but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
In Tulisa's song, Titanium, she sings about being resilient in the face of criticism and being strong enough to withstand any attack. The song's opening lines suggest that she cannot hear the insults being hurled at her because she is talking louder than the critics. She then goes on to say that despite being picked at by people, their arrows do not hurt her because she is bulletproof.
Tulisa shows that she has nothing to lose and invites anyone who wants to, to take their shot at her. Even though a few shots are fired, she bounces back every time, just like titanium. Despite being cut down, Tulisa assures that the critic or attacker will have more to lose than her. She continues to raise her voice, being loud with her words, and ignoring the sticks and stones thrown at her. As the bridge begins, Tulisa compares herself to a machine gun, one that is not afraid to fire back at those who dare to shoot at her. She firmly closes the chorus, declaring that she is solid and unbreakable like titanium, no matter how many times someone tries to shoot her down.

I love the scratchy smoky tones that she has in her voice and the big powerful notes added up just makes this perfection. After all the nasty witch hunt in the past I really wish she could come back as a solo performer again and become the superstar she deserves to be.
