What Could Be Better

In the flow of life
Keeping an eye on tomorrow
I am happy half the time
I know you're searching for a touch of feeling
But you don't have the time
I know inside there's a better weather
And the world outside really doesn't matter
In the shade of our love
It's a subtle matter
Somebody smile at me like the sun
Somebody that smile at me
What could be better?
If there's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
I'll be there on time
I've been let down before
I got up off the floor
It don't change my mind
Cause I know inside there's a better weather
And the world outside really doesn't matter
This love inside is a gentle colour
In the shade of our love
It's a subtle matter
Somebody smile at me like the sun
Somebody smile at me
What could be better?
We found it could be done
What could be better?
There's nothing close
We found it could be done
What could be better?
There's nothing close
Nothing close.
The lyrics of Tunde Baiyewu's song "What Could Be Better" convey a sense of optimism and contentment in life despite its ups and downs. The first verse speaks of living in the present moment while still anticipating the future, a balancing act that often brings happiness. The singer acknowledges that their partner may be busy and unable to fully express their feelings, but reassures them that there is a better future ahead. Love is described as a gentle, subtle force of a beautiful color that can provide solace and comfort.
The chorus emphasizes the simple pleasures in life, such as a smile from someone special that can light up their day. The second verse speaks of resilience and perseverance in the face of disappointment, with the singer carrying on with their head held high because they know that better times are coming.
Overall, the song is a reflection on the joys and challenges of life, celebrating the little things that can make a big difference and remaining optimistic even when things don't go as planned.
