It was announced that the band signed with Crash Music Inc. on February 3, 2006. Twin Method's debut album The Volume of Self was released on June 13, 2006, and produced by ex-Machine Head/Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader. The music video for the album's single, "The Abrasive", was directed by Danny Roew in Hollywood.
The band attribute their style to many influences, including thrash metal acts such as Metallica and Megadeth, punk rock bands such as NOFX, pop bands like Green Day, and alternative rock bands such as Nine Inch Nails.
Twin Method has toured with such artists as Medication, Drowning Pool on their 2006 US tour, American Head Charge on their 2006 European Occupation Tour, Soil, Type O Negative, Five Finger Death Punch, Bloodsimple and in 2007 they were part of the Family Values Tour headlined by Korn and Evanescence.
Lyrics are generally considered with how negative actions of some affect others. In the words of Jason Carter-Potticary, lyricist for the band, "I generally write about certain people who do things without thinking and cause problems for others…people who are basically idiots."

The choruse are beautifully harmonious, the screams are gnarly, and the instrumental work is top tier. Actual 10/10.

Ok I don't do this often but I'm an old school fan of industrial metal (Fear Factory, Spineshank, and American Head Charge). And no one but this band hit the same vein as them. I've listened to this album for the last 4 months and it's undeniable. These guy have it! In 95-02 they would have been A CONCRETE EXAMPLE of Industrial Metal. Shit they still are in my book. Great job on an OUTSTANDING ALBUM guys be proud.

Had the absolute pleasure of knowing the Lead singer for a few years, from what I remember he was a great guy, taught me science in a college years ago and it's crazy to see how much of a small world it is! As an aspiring songwriter it realy does humble me to appreciate what the band achieved in their very short life span, super inspiring !:)

These guys were incredible...too bad we only got one album out of them. Musicianship is A++ . Along with Motograter self-titled and Spineshank Strictly Diesel, three killer albums.
@silver760
