Letting you in my heart
Big mistake on my part
Naive and seduced from the start
So let me go
Getting over my overblown feelings
Of being alone what would you say if I told
You I still feel the same? Wait
Hypnotized somewhere in front of a wall
I have built up to protect what
Was left of this reckless love
Don't go giving up, so get out of here
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
I remember losing all control
Letting you in my heart
Big mistake on my part
Naive and seduced from the start
So let me go
Getting over my overblown feelings
Of being alone what would you say if I told
You I still feel the same? Wait
Hypnotized somewhere in front of a wall
I have built up to protect what
Was left of this reckless love
Don't go giving up, so get out of here
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
Saying so there's no help for me
I should just go hope you find clarity
Somewhere inside of that thunderstorm
You call out heart
Hypnotized somewhere in front of a wall
I have built up to protect what
Was left of this reckless love
Don't go giving up, so get out of here
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
Hypnotized somewhere in front of a wall
I have built up to protect what
Was left of this reckless love
Don't go giving up, so get out of here
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
You say it's obvious
It's all up and disappeared
In Twiztid's song "Broken Heart," the lyrics depict a personal experience of losing control and allowing someone to enter their heart, only to realize it was a mistake. The singer reflects on their naivety and vulnerability in the beginning of the relationship. They acknowledge the pain caused by their own overblown feelings of loneliness and confess that despite all that has happened, they still feel the same way about the person. The mention of being hypnotized suggests a state of being trapped or held captive in front of a metaphorical wall that the singer has built as a defense mechanism to protect what is left of a reckless love. The plea to not give up and the repetition of the phrase "get out of here" indicate a desire to break free from the harmful cycle.
The lyrics explore themes of lost control, regret, vulnerability, and the struggle to move on from a toxic relationship. The repetition of the phrase "letting you in my heart" emphasizes the significance of allowing someone to enter their emotional space and the consequences that come with it. The reference to a "reckless love" implies that the relationship was impulsive and without regard for the consequences.
