The lyrics of Twiztid's song "Keep It Movin" revolve around the theme of family, particularly the band's association with the Dark Carnival, a fictional universe created by Insane Clown Posse, to which Twiztid serves as a close companion.
The song's opening lyrics, "That's my family / Criminals and weirdos / Outcasts and freak shows / And members of the carnival," depict the bond between Twiztid and its fans, characterized by a shared identity as outsiders who take pride in being different. The Dark Carnival universe, with its emphasis on individuality and acceptance, unites the clan as a family, regardless of their differences.
The song also touches on the theme of struggle, defining the band's music as an outlet for self-expression and rebellion against societal norms. As the lyrics state, "Label me whatever / It never mattered to me / As long as I'm related to your family tree / Its a gang of us all shapes and sizes," Twiztid embraces its outcast status and rejects any labels imposed by the mainstream culture.
Overall, "Keep It Movin" is an empowering track that encourages fans to embrace their individuality and remain loyal to their family, a sentiment in line with the Dark Carnival's proclivity for rejecting conformity and societal expectations.
