Then baby be my guest
I′m right before your eyes
I'm tellin' you no lies
You wanted my disease
You′ll have to do as I please
You′ll jump off the roof if I say
I won't let you get away
I don′t know what else it could be
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
Let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
I've got to visit your tunnel of love
You′re just a victim less crime
It happens all the time, yeah
You'll have an overstay
And your bill is my pay
You are the lock, I am the key
You know what you do to me
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
Let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
I′ve got to visit your tunnel of love
You are the lock, I am the key
You know what you do to me
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
Let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
I've got to visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
Let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
I've got to visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
Let me visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
I′ve got to visit your tunnel of love
Tunnel of love, tunnel of love
The lyrics to Two Armadillos's song Tunnel of Love are laced with sexual innuendos and suggest a power dynamic between the two individuals in the song. The singer in the song is in control and dominant, his partner submitting to his desires. He tells the other person that he's the best and they will have to do as he pleases if they want his "disease", implying that he's potentially dangerous or wild. He then goes on to say that the other person is just a victimless crime and that they'll have an "overstay" which they'll have to pay for, again suggesting that their interaction is transactional in nature.
The repeated chorus, "Tunnel of Love, tunnel of love, let me visit your tunnel of love," is an obvious sexual reference and serves as the driving force of the song. The singer wants to explore and indulge in their partner's body, describing themselves as the key to their lock. The implication is that they have a special or unique connection that allows the singer access to their partner's passions and secrets.
Overall, the song is an exploration of power dynamics, sexual desire, and control. It's a provocative song that leaves little to the imagination, and its use of metaphors and innuendos adds dimension and depth to the lyrics.
