My Time
Tyler James Lyrics

And I can’t come up for air
All the stunts been hitting around
Made me feel like no one cared
But my elbows are up in the clouds
Never thought that I force fair
So I pushed it off of my shoulder
It’s true the grass is greener on the other side
Now it’s my time
Now it’s my time
You can rest assure that the city boy
Got a chance as big as mine
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
Even those old verelan days
Made me she'd oh I do why
I had to look at the bigger paint
I had to get my spirits high
And I love to run off and force
Doesn’t mean it’s time to cry
Had to run a million miles a day
When I wanted a pearl and die
It’s true the grass is greener on the other side
Now it’s my time
Now it’s my time
You can rest assure that the city boy
Got a chance as big as mine
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
You can rest assure that the city boy
Got a chance as big as mine
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
You can rest assure that the city boy
Got a chance as big as mine
Now it’s my time, ye ye ye uhhh
In "My Time," Tyler James sings about overcoming obstacles and persevering through difficult times. He begins by describing the challenges he has been facing, with people bringing him down and making him feel like no one cares about him. However, he refuses to let these experiences define him, and instead chooses to rise above them, with his elbows up in the clouds. He acknowledges that the grass may seem greener on the other side, but now it is his time to shine and prove himself.
He then reflects on some past experiences, perhaps referring to the "old verelan days" - this may refer to a place or time in his life. Whatever it is, he seems to have shed the negative aspects of it that caused him pain and instead looked at the bigger picture to lift his spirits. He loves to run off and explore new things, but realizes that even when faced with challenges, it doesn't mean it's time to cry - he has to keep pushing forward. Overall, the song conveys a message of resilience and a determination to make the most of one's opportunities.
