I don't know where to begin, or where to start
U-God is overwhelmed and unsure of how to explain his drug addiction.

All I know is I broke my mother heart
U-God's drug addiction has caused pain and disappointment for his mother.

It started way back with a little weed
U-God's drug addiction began with using marijuana.

Then it grew into acid, coke and speed
U-God's addiction escalated to using drugs like LSD, cocaine, and amphetamines.

I became that monster with a need to feed
U-God's addiction made him feel like a beast that had to constantly use drugs.

Was it greed? No, I just needed to freeze
U-God used drugs to escape from reality, not because he was selfish or greedy.

Then I dibbled in this, then I dabbled in that
U-God experimented with various drugs.

Then the next thing you know, I was exposed to crack
U-God's drug use led him to try crack cocaine.

And I guess curiosity killed the cat
U-God's curiosity about drugs caused him to become addicted.

And the way that it look, ain't no turning back
U-God is aware of the damage his addiction has caused and that it will be difficult to stop using.

And I used to have the hook up, g'sll splurge
U-God was once a dealer and would spend a lot of money on drugs.

Now, I just cook up to feed my herbs
U-God now cooks and prepares drugs to support his own addiction.

Now, people just look up, like he's the third
Others look up to U-God as a drug dealer or supplier.

Cuz he walk around town like he's a bird
U-God walks around feeling free and wild like a bird due to his drug use.

Instead of money it was drugs that he prefered
U-God chose drugs over making money or having material possessions.

Say no to the substance, heed my words
U-God advises others to stay away from drugs.

U-God's father was also addicted to drugs which is shown by his arms.

U-God is grateful for his mother who has not given up on him despite his addiction.

U-God regrets how he has treated his mother and has nothing to his name because of his addiction.

U-God sold his TV to finance his drug use and couldn't stop using drugs.

U-God is ashamed to tell his mother that he is using drugs.

U-God used drugs to cope with the problems in his life.

U-God resorted to crime to support his drug addiction.

Drug addiction is a severe illness that impacts people on a deep level.

U-God's drug addiction is something he thinks about and craves all day long.

I don't love the drugs, drugs love me
U-God doesn't necessarily enjoy using drugs, but they have a hold on him that he can't seem to break.
