Uno cemented himself as a pillar of the rap scene in 2015, taking the underground by storm with the release of his No More Thotties mixtape and songs like "Parkin' Lot Pimpin'," "Giuseppe Swag," and "WHAT." Uno would respond to the craving for new music held by his fans for two years by releasing his debut studio mixtape Live.Shyne.Die in late 2017.
A desire for musical experimentation led to his mid-2018 EP Limbus. The series' second installment would release in December of that same year. This trend of experimentation would continue itself with the release of Uno's Deadication remix project in mid-2019.
Uno delivered Deadication II: Lost Files in early 2020, a mixtape containing vaulted songs dating back to 2017. In mid-2020, Uno released his highly-anticipated debut studio album, 8, which included popular tracks "Das Him," "Night Mode," and "Can't Go."
At the beginning of 2021, Uno would release his sophomore studio album, Unoverse, a 10-track LP that would mark his first independent release since his 2017 EP Sorry for the Wait. The project featured standout cuts "Taco Bell" and "Opp Pack." ~ Alexander L. & Hamed T.

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
You, uh, what's-his name, right? Well
Yeah, ten rolls yeah (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I mean, do you have something I can
I can try? Yeah, try this
(Dream, this shit go dummy)
Haha, they think I sold my soul
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you look like this
You can do what you want
Every time your partner switch
They think you selling your soul
Detectives asking questions
I swear I'm not telling a soul
When you get some money, thะตy think
That you sold your soul, oh
I go by the street code
Take a snotty handkะตrchief and
Wipe a nigga nose
If I caught a body, swear to god
You'll never know
And I'm on this Percocet
The 'scripts that I was owed
Better pay up what you owe
Niggas steal my drip like I wasn't
'bout to put nothing on
I seen him look at my
Swag, I was like, "Buddy, go get your own"
Motherfuckers keep on playing
I swear my heart ain't the only thing chrome
Hung up on that bitch 'cause she said
"Kiss me through the phone"
Walked in, she like, "Ooh
You smell like Baccarat cologne"
They lacking on the internet
Niggas hating through phones whole time
They wanna be me like they
Wanna have my chromosomes
Haha, they think I sold my soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you look like this
You can do what you want
Every time your partner switch
They think you selling your soul
Detectives asking questions
I swear I'm not telling a soul
When you get some money, thะตy think
That you sold your soul, oh
Haha, they think I sold my soul

Every time your partner switch
They think you selling your soul
Detectives asking questions
I swear I'm not telling a soul
When you get some money, they think
That you sold your soul, oh
They like, "Damn, who shot you?"
Think I'm 'bout to Melly
My motherfucking partners
Cut 'em off, stab me in my back
Burn the knife up he was on house arrest
Told the whole world that he was at Rikers
Yeah, nigga gon' roll these
Dice, I shoot Craps
Know I'm gon' strike 'em
I'm gon' treat all of these
Glocks something like thots
I only one night 'em
Yeah, been had this presidential Rollie
Joe Biden and she told me lemon oil
Make her pussy tighter
Packed the bitch up and I
Took her 'cross the globe
I just piped a bitch up
Now she wanna act brand new
Snuck in with that shh
Seen an opp and got the cue
Yeah, niggas steal Drip Reed so much
I think I need to sue
Haha, they think I sold my soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this
They think you sold your soul
When you drip like this

That you sold your soul, oh
Let the boy watch, he needs to learn
In the lyrics of "Sold Ya Soul" by UnoTheActivist, the artist seems to address the perception and rumors surrounding him and others in the music industry. He starts by sarcastically acknowledging the accusations of selling his soul that come with his success and unique style. The repeated phrase "When you drip like this, they think you sold your soul" suggests that his extravagant lifestyle and fashion choices are often misinterpreted as a sign of making a pact for fame. This theme of judgment continues as he mentions how people associate wealth and changes in relationships with selling out, illustrating a sense of paranoia and scrutiny on his every move.
As he delves deeper, UnoTheActivist expresses his adherence to a street code and a sense of secrecy, hinting at potentially darker aspects of his life. Lines like "If I caught a body, swear to god you'll never know" create an air of mystery and danger, suggesting that there may be hidden truths behind his persona. The reference to Percocet and owed prescriptions further adds to the image of a complex and troubled individual, hinting at struggles with substance abuse and past traumas that may be influencing his actions and decisions.
The lyrics also touch upon the recurring theme of envy and imitation, with UnoTheActivist addressing those who try to replicate his style and persona. He draws a stark contrast between the facade people present online and their true intentions, calling out those who pretend to be something they are not. The mention of being imitated to the point of considering legal action suggests a frustration with those who lack originality and seek to profit off his creativity and success.
In the final section of the lyrics, UnoTheActivist continues to mock the allegations of selling his soul and references current events and political figures, adding a layer of social commentary to his narrative. The mention of rolling dice, haunting memories of betrayal, and sexual encounters further paint a picture of a complex and multifaceted individual who navigates a world filled with duplicity and challenges. The closing line, "Let the boy watch, he needs to learn," can be interpreted as a message to his critics and observers, inviting them to observe and judge him if they must, as he continues on his journey of self-discovery and growth in the face of skepticism and scrutiny.
