1 - Una is a Los Angeles trio playing electronic/downtempo/triphop. Keeping some faith with the earlier giants like Massive Attack and Portishead, UNA intends to expand on this music form and keep the downtempo scene moving forward. Their EP entitled The Rain is Over and Gone did phenominally well and was added to 80 CMJ radio stations across North America. They are now releasing one, their first full length LP.
Una ranks #1 Debut at Mediaguide for unsigned bands and was #1-electronic- ourstage.com and CMJ.

2 - UNA is also a trio which was born in the beginning of 2006 deriving from a project of the brazilian band Rusty Project, that has been around stages since 2001. The 7 tracks present the same original sonority found in Rusty Project, seeking always for unique harmonies, both heavy and light songs.
UNA aims at the Brazilian audience, since the lyrics are in portuguese, but it can be appreciated by anyone who enjoys modern rock and is not that concerned in understanding the lyrics. (Free download below only on their tracks).

Jonah
Una Lyrics

The bar scene
Enter John, Jonah, Madeleine
Sitting, drinking, watching
Saying nothing
Nothing comes to mind
John loves Madeleine
Madeleine loves Jonah
And Jonah
Jonah loves no one
Jonah, Jonah loves no one
Jonah loves no one
Jonah′s never gonna be happy
And the people
Who wanna be loved so bad
Will be missing the kind of love
Jonah once had
John loves Madeleine
Madeleine loves Jonah
And Jonah
Jonah loves no one
Jonah loves no one
Jonah, Jonah loves no one
And the other guy diggin deep in his pocket
Walking away with his head hung low
So low
John loves Madeleine
Madeleine loves Jonah
And Jonah
Jonah loves no one
Jonah loves no one
Jonah, Jonah loves no one
At the other end of the counter
Exchanging numbers
Karen and Michael
And the plans grow
And the other guy diggin deep in his pocket
Walkin' away with his head hung low
So low

The lyrics of Una's song "Jonah" depict a scene in a bar where a group of people are sitting, drinking, and watching. However, none of them seem to have much to say to each other. The three main characters in the story are John, Madeleine, and Jonah. John loves Madeleine, but Madeleine loves Jonah. Unfortunately, the problem is that Jonah loves no one. The chorus repeats the simple yet poignant refrain that "Jonah loves no one" and "Jonah's never gonna be happy."
As the story unfolds, the other characters in the bar are also depicted. There are people who want to be loved so badly, but they will never find true happiness in someone else's affection. Meanwhile, at the other end of the counter, Karen and Michael are exchanging numbers and making plans. The contrast between their optimistic outlook and the bleakness of Jonah's situation is stark.
