Oow
Yeah, you know they're gonna bring it down now
They're gonna wreck it down, yeah
Something's come to rock me
And I can't keep my head
I've never seen the New York city streets
When my leg'ers still treads
I know I'm still better off standin' in the shadows
Far from humans with guns
But now it's too late, there's no escape
From what they have done, come on
I'm goin' deeper underground
There's too much panic in this town
I'm goin' deeper underground
There's too much panic in this town
I'm goin' deeper underground
Well, I got to go deeper
Got to go much deeper, yeah
Ah, yeah, they're gonna wreck it down, yeah
Step do, down, down, down, hey, hey
Yeah, we gotta bring it down, yeah
Some people with a pocket full of money
And an eye full of hate
Take your pleasure with destruction
Of of everything that they try to create
Somebody tell me why this own mankind
Only tip of them touch
Heaven, help them when they bite off more
Than they can chew and now it's too much
I'm goin' deeper underground, hey, ah
There's too much panic in this town
I'm goin' deeper underground
There's too much panic in this town
I'm goin' deeper underground
There's too much panic in this town
I'm goin', I'm goin', I'm goin' deeper underground
I'm goin', I'm goin', I'm goin' deeper underground

When my leg'ers still treads
I know I'm still better off standin' in the shadows
Far from humans with guns
But now it's too late, there's no escape

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Underground Resistance's song Transition are about the singer's feelings of fear and desperation as they try to flee a chaotic situation. They describe how something has come to "rock" them, causing them to lose their bearings and "go deeper underground" to escape the panic and destruction occurring around them. The singer expresses regret for not leaving earlier and for allowing themselves to be caught up in the chaos.

The song also contains a critique of humanity's destructive qualities, with lyrics like "some people with a pocket full of money and an eye full of hate" who take pleasure in destroying what others have created. The singer questions why humans are only satisfied when they are causing harm, and warns that they will eventually bite off more than they can chew.

Overall, the lyrics of Transition evoke a sense of powerlessness in the face of chaos and destruction, and a longing to escape to a safer place.

one of my favorite songs that used to bother me deep down because every time I was forced to ask myself those questions, I had to answer "no" to almost all of them. Things got a lot worse than I thought possible, to the point of almost no return. and boom. It was like the lights were dimmed to 10 percent and someone yanked the dimmer to full brightness. I experience bliss now. It's because I don't have any free time because I'm always working on what I'm passionate about now. And it's not work to see the end of work, it's work in which the process is the fun part and the end result is a treat I get for no good reason. It took years of listening to this song, every day at time, age, patience, chemicals, vomit, blood, sweat, and tears. Now, I am extremely driven. I can listen and I can say "yes" to these questions now. Do things yourself and ask for what you want. You'd be surprised just how far you can get.

thanks for this <3

@EchoSoundsystem

Pay attention youth of today.... wisdom getting dropped right here. What a message.

@turo2772

"I love the keys on it, the message...yeah just such a tune. Doesn't need a drop, doesn't need a breakdown, doesn't need air noises...just soul, real shit, classic, wonderful record. There's no way this tune has a negative reaction anywhere. And if it does then don't ever go there again." - John Tejada (2021)

This is not merely music. This is a lesson.

Hats off

@xaza8uhitra4

I remember hearing this track in a Mills or Juan Atkins set (can’t remember) at DEMF in 2013. The sun was setting and the vibe was effervescent and crisp, i heard the lyrics and really internalize them. I was not living in my truth in the time and was dealing with a lot of heavy stuff - but this track inspired me like no other to see beyond my current reality and it filled me with hope and energy. Legendary track

@KLK01

"Will I die not knowing what I could've been?" Dopest track ever.
