One of the most interesting song choices in a film for me. That ending has never left me. I also recognized this tune in Scorsese’s very own Mean Streets. There is a scene with a party for a veteran which is going south, and once again this song is playing over it. Maybe Ferrara took inspiration from this scene, but it has undoubtedly created a powerful conflict of emotions first in Mean Streets, and then in Bad Lieutenant. I cannot help but return to this song.

I remember the day Johnny Ace died .. in high school ... we all cried & couldn't stop .. we were sent home to help us get over it!! He was one of the best singers of the Golden Era of music!! I'll never get tired of listening to all of his songs!! RIP Johnny

Yes! I’ve been #teamedward since my mom watched the 1st one with me at 6 or 7 years old!!! I LITERALLY hate reading with a BURNING PASSION (no offense to people who love reading) and I love twilight so much that I was not only willing, but ecstatic to read the books. less than 2 months later, I’ve finished 1-4, life and death: Twilight reimagined, and I’m almost done with Midnight Sun! 💜

@@AllisonChains64 yup there’s the obvious 4 main books, but there’s also “Midnight Sun”, “The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella”, “The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide”, and “Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined”. You probably already know about the last three, but Midnight Sun came out this year.

Just found this song again in a Ray Winston movie , such a beautiful song . I remember it from the film Christine. I mentioned it to my son David and he bought the record for my gorgeous husband off fifty four years as we still love vinyl. Such a thoughtful present . I was just watching the movie ' The Bad Luitanent" just now and it comes on at the end. I had forgotten about this song. I wasn't even a teen when it came out. And I remember it so well. A great song .
