The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

Various Artists Lyrics

It was easy to see that you'd been crying
Seems like everywhere you turn catastrophe it reigns
But who really profits from the dying
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you in my arms forever
When you kissed my lips with my mouth so full of questions
It's my worried mind that you quiet
Place your hands on my face
Close my eyes and say
Love is a poor man's food
Don't prophesize
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever
And I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever
So now we see how it is
This fist begets the spear
Weapons of war
Symptoms of madness
Don't let your eyes refuse to see
Don't let your ears refuse to hear
Or you ain't never going to shake this sense of sadness
I could hold you in my arms
I could hold on forever
And I could hold you in my arms
I could hold forever
The Various Artists' song 'In My Thoughts' is a beautiful ode to love, comfort, and compassion. The lyrics talk about how the singer's lover came to them with bad dreams and fears, and despite the chaos and destruction all around them, they find comfort in each other's arms. The singer proclaims that they could hold their lover forever, offering protection and safety from the turmoil of the world.
The second verse talks about how the lover's kiss is enough to quiet the singer's worried mind, and the act of physically touching and holding each other brings solace to both. The lyrics take a political turn in the third verse, where the singer talks about the futility of war and the madness that it creates. They urge their listeners to break free from the propaganda of war and seek peace and love instead. The song ends on a positive note, with the singer once again reiterating their promise to hold their lover forever.
Overall, Various Artists' 'In My Thoughts' is a poignant reminder of the power of love and compassion in the face of adversity. The lyrics convey a sense of hope and the promise of a better tomorrow, even in times of great despair.

@TheBook778 I was hoping someone would be, so thank you. Before I start though, I want to preface by saying that I have not played either Doom, nor yet played any GoW games other than the original, 2, and Chains of Olympus, and that this is a general idea and if I were to ever write this some degree of it would probably change.
That said, (clears throat): The story would be set during Kratos' assault on Olympus, with Zeus deciding they need reinforcements as the both the Titans and Kratos fight further and further up the mountain (I intend to go more in-depth with the War and not dismiss the Titans like the game did). He finds Hell and agrees to help the demons get rid of a certain imprisoned entity if they will fight. Naturally, the new army causes trouble for Kratos and the Titans coupled with a more forceful assault from the Gods, and eventually they are at the mercy of the demons. In comes Doomguy, who has been freed due to an accident during his attempted additional imprisonment by the Gods, and is pissed that they are allying with the demons. To that end, he somewhat inadvertently rescues Kratos and the Titans. They form a rather loose alliance, and Kratos and Doomguy play off of each other as they kill their way through monsters, Gods, and demons, with perhaps some funny moments being had from Kratos' hamminess and Doomguy's muteness. I would also probably have the whole Pandora's Box thing go very differently, and Kratos improving more gradually due to Doomguy's more altruistic nature contrasting his own selfishness, leading to his decision at the end to be based on Doomguy's opinion as well as his own revelation. I would then either end it on a cliffhanger where they go after the fleeing demonic horde, with Kratos surprisingly (or not) electing to join the Doomguy in finishing his work with him, or they simply part ways with respect, and perhaps Kratos nodding to traveling to other lands and searching for a better life, with Doomguy giving his approval and well-wishes. Those are all of the relevant points I can think of, so please tell me what you think.
This idea would be far in the future if I ever do it at all (like 5 years to a full decade at least), but I would love to do it at some point, and hear feedback on it at least for the moment.
Also, there is a crossover already, but set in the Norse Era-https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13166292/1/God-of-War-The-Coming-of-Doom
