The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

wild Hunt
Sittin' on my bed a thinkin'
Thinking that my heart is sinkin'
Everyday the world goes by
With you gone
All I do is dream about you
Living ain't a life without you
Honey can you find it in you
To come back home?
Never miss a real good thing
I know what it means
Never see the light of day
'Til it goes away
Never want a drink of water
'Til the well runs dry
Never miss a real good thing
'Til he says good-bye
I guess you must of had your reasons
Maybe you were right in leavin'
I know you never found yourself
In what we had
And honey you've a right to blame me
Maybe even time would change me
Can't you see the good that's in me
And over look the bad?
Never miss a real good thing
I know what it means
You never see the light of day
'Til it goes away
Never want a drink of water
'Til the well runs dry
You never miss a real good thing
'Til he says good-bye
Never miss a real good thing
I know what it means
Never see the light of day
'Til it goes away
Never want a drink of water
'Til the well runs dry
You never miss a real good thing
'Til he says good-bye💋
PILA KID
Her voice goes through your whole body. And she can sing the melody of each word.......awesome
Loren Heard
Like a brook bubbles and drops and dances over the pebbles and stones in a mountain pass! Much more beautiful than diamonds, and lovely as a unique bird-song!🐦🎵🎵
RICHARD CHRISTENSEN
Saw her in a concert in St Helena, ca. She put on the best show ever. 2 1/2 hours of her singing. Such a wonderful voice and range of musical style. She personifies what a quality talent is. Too bad todays entertainers lack Crystals talent.

Her range is amazing! "Restless" has an outlaw vibe like a Waylon song, and a lot of her songs crossed over into the Adult Contemporary charts. She could sing anything! She is a vocalist in the purest sense.
Forgotten Hillbilly
That is a real woman right there and as beautiful as a man could ever dream of! Everything about her is attractive. Her and Anita Carter in my opinion have the two best female voices in country music that does something to this man for sure.

I love Crystal Gayle, Tanya Tucker, and Jeannie Kendall a lot! Crystal has power, Tanya has grit, and Jeannie has a light and angelic quality.
V.A. HOSS

Noreen Faherty
Performing just seemed to come so naturally to her, she is such a unique performer.
