The lyrics of Vibe's song "Money" convey a strong emphasis on the importance of money in the singer's life. The repetition of the phrase "If it’s not money I don’t want it" highlights the singer's unwavering focus on wealth and financial success. This sentiment is reinforced with the assertion that they don't want anything other than money - indicating a clear prioritization of material wealth above all else in their life.
The lyrics also touch upon themes of materialism and superficiality in relationships. The mention of a woman who is only interested in dollar signs and luxury items like Maison Margiela suggests a shallow, transactional approach to love and companionship. The singer portrays this woman as someone who values money and status above genuine connection or emotional depth, exemplified by her preference for "big ballers" over "ordinary fellas."
Further delving into the dynamics of this relationship, the lyrics suggest a sense of manipulation and power dynamics at play. The woman is portrayed as using her financial expectations to control and assess those around her, with references to only listening when an account number is involved and dismissing individuals who don't meet her monetary standards. This portrayal adds a layer of complexity to the narrative and sheds light on the transactional nature of the interactions depicted in the song.
Overall, the lyrics of "Money" underscore the seductive allure and perceived necessity of wealth and material possessions in society. The singer's unwavering stance on prioritizing money above all else, combined with the portrayal of superficial relationships driven by financial expectations, offers a critical commentary on the influence of money on human interactions and values. The repetition of the refrain throughout the song serves as a powerful mantra reinforcing the central theme of the song, making a bold statement about the singer's unapologetic pursuit of financial gain and material success.

[Chorus]
I just need money and vibes, don't need none of that toxic shit
My social battery gone, I gotta stay out the mix
I-I-I'm trynna be so rich, I put the l in lit
Call you and say where you at, already know what time it is
[Verse 1]
What a win I turn my back so many man get scarf a lie
So when I'm outside, oh no, I don't lack
Ain't gonna lie my wife had dime, but I hit them holes too though, I admit
Me and this bread get along too well, when I put in his fit, I feel like him, ay
You want my attention bad, but I'm that guy that was before

You don't wanna get me slept, you-you wanna feel secure
Can't even lie, you're cool when you worried to fuck though I went too short
[Chorus]

My social battery gone, I gotta stay out the mix
I-I-I'm trynna be so rich, I put the l in lit
Call you and say where you at, already know what time it is
[Verse 2]
I don't wanna be in the mix, I rather grind and stay on the low
Half these men got a lot to pose, but ain't got nothin' to show
Them gyal doin' the most, but you ain't got do too much
Nah, nah, nah, nah, when I'm in the block, I've been feelin' loved
So many people around me, but I went through shit alone

When I'm away, who's gonna take you home?
She said, man ain't shit, b-b-but I get paper dough
[Chorus]
I just need money and vibes, don't need none of that toxic shit
My social battery gone, I gotta stay out the mix
