Victoria Faiella Lyrics

The Snake
Victoria
Down the dirty old street
The Angel of the East is calling
And with a trembling hand
I open up a can
I can hear a baby bawling
I can feel her love inside me
But then I realise
My girl with green eyes
Is no longer there beside me
Victoria, left me in opium euphoria
With a fat monk singing Gloria
My girl with green eyes
Only you see that I am lazy
Don't care about fame
Nor money like a child
And I'm just like a child
Who's forgotten how to smile
All the people are so busy
I have nothing to bother about
It seems that I am different
Seems that I am strange
I'm a bumpkin, I'm a lout
Some day I know
I'l put my pipe aside and hit the road
However far away I have to go
To find my girl with green eyes
Some day I know
I'll put my pipe aside and hit the road
However far away I have to go
To find my girl with green eyes
Victoria my girl with green eyes
The song "Daylight" by Victoria Faiella depicts the inner thoughts of a person who has lost their partner and is coping with the pain by using opium. The first verse describes the setting, where the person is wandering down a dirty street and hears a baby crying. As they open a can, they feel the love of their partner inside them but realize their girl with green eyes is no longer by their side. The chorus expresses the regret of losing Victoria and being in a state of opium euphoria, with a fat monk singing Gloria.
The second verse portrays the singer's apathy towards fame and money and how they feel like a child who has forgotten how to smile. They mention how people are busy with their own lives but they have nothing to bother about. They feel like an outcast and lack social skills. The bridge reflects hope and determination, where the singer knows that someday they will stop using opium and go on a journey to find their girl with green eyes. The song ends with the mention of Victoria, their partner with green eyes.
Overall, the song showcases a sense of longing, sadness, and hopelessness. The singer is lost and confused without their partner and the use of opium serves as a coping mechanism. The lyrics, when combined with the melody, create a haunting yet beautiful ambiance that leaves the listener with a sense of melancholy.

Das Instrumental scheint fast unverändert so für die No Angels übernommen worden zu sein.

Der Refrain klingt so gehaucht und manche Töne sollten länger gezogen werden.. Ansonsten hat die Harmonie richtig gut gepasst 😁

Autsch... No Angels sind einfach 1000 mal besser

No way.
