This interlude has a similar feeling to both “Ramona Park Legend pt. 1” and “Ramona Park Legend pt. 2,” which are both openers on Staples' double album debut, Summertime ‘06. All three focus on noises that might be heard outside, perhaps by Long Beach where Staples is from.

Bright lights in dark skies
If I die today
Would you even know I existed?
Would you see my face?
How I love you so
You are so far away
You're in my skin, above my brain
New York, New York
Bright lights in dark skies
If I die today
Would you even know I existed?
Would you see my face?
How I love you so
You are so far away
You're in my skin, above my brain
If I should pass away
In "Ramona Park Is Yankee Stadium," Vince Staples reflects on his relationship with the city of New York. Throughout the song, he thinks about the hypothetical scenario of his own death and wonders if anyone would even remember him or notice his absence, especially in a city as vast and impersonal as New York. The bright lights of the city are juxtaposed with its dark skies, hinting at both the allure and the isolation that the city represents for Staples. He speaks directly to the city, expressing his love for it but also acknowledging its distance and inaccessibility in his own life.
The repetition of certain phrases and lines throughout the song reinforce the themes of memory, presence, and absence. The opening line of the song, "New York, New York," is repeated several times, as is the question of whether anyone would notice Staples' death. The phrase "bright lights in dark skies" is also repeated and takes on different meanings each time it appears, at once representing the glamour of the city as well as the hidden, darker aspects of its character.
Overall, Vince Staples uses "Ramona Park Is Yankee Stadium" to explore his complicated love for New York and the ways in which it both attracts and alienates him. He grapples with the idea of being forgotten or unnoticed, ultimately recognizing that his relationship with the city is ongoing and deeply felt, even if it is not always easy to express.

The meaning of this song is that when Vince grew up in Ramona Park when he was young there would be gangs walking the streets of his neighborhood and part of their style was wearing a Yankee hat. He then compares the gangsters of Ramona Park to Yankee Stadium because they both have people with Yankee hats walking around.
