1. A New Wave of British Heavy Metal band from Oxford, United Kingdom, founded in 1981.
2. A female gospel group from New Orleans, founded in 1997.
1) Virtue (Oxford, UK)
Virtue was a NWOBHM band formed in 1981. They released a 7" titled 'We Stand to Fight' in 1985 on Other Records. The 'Fool's Gold' demo was released independently by the band in 1987 on cassette tape when the originally planned vinyl EP failed to come to fruition due to financial issues and label complications.
The band's first demo Virtue-Defenders was released on tape in 1984: At that time the band consisted of the Sheldon brothers Matt and Tudor, Metcalfe, Reader and Lewington. As the result wasn't satisfying the band almost split-up. The lineup was almost completely revamped then, with the Sheldon brothers being the only remaining members.
1) Virtue (New Orleans, LA)
Virtue, a sophisticated trio recognized as women of high standard and impeccable grace are known within the music industry for their beauty and cutting edge style. Looks are not deceiving when it comes to these three. If their beauty draws you to them, the depth of their message will satisfy your soul. Hailing from New Orleans, LA, the group promotes a message of faith, hope, and positive self image through their music and personal lifestyles. We need to let women know that its time to stand up for what is right. We have to dress, talk, and act like women who are mothers, sisters, wives and even girlfriends. Speaking of girlfriends, the members of Virtue are not only biological sisters, but also friends. They affectionately refer to themselves and their close knit girlfriend circle as H.A.G.G.S. Don't be alarmed, though, it's not because they don't think highly of themselves or their friends. It's actually quite opposite. HAGGS is a term of endearment reserved solely for the Honorable Ambitious Gifted Gorgeous Sista who upholds the belief that it is time to stop being mundane and do something great.
In addition to their gospel music projects, Virtue is also establishing the Virtuegirl network that seeks to mentor other young women toward positive personal enrichment. Often compared to the soulful styling of En Vogue and Destinys Child, the group comprised of sisters, Ebony Trotter Holland, Karima Trotter Kibble, and Heather Trotter Martin, continue to remind us that they are dedicated to leadership by example. The Dove and Stellar Award nominees have 5 successful projects to their credit with the 6th album, Testimony, that was released in 2006

It's a wonderful thing to go to sleep and
wake up in the morning, and your breathin'.
It's a wonderful thing to see the sun light
shine across the window after dreamin'. (Ohh)
It's so easy to take it for granted,
but we're only alive because he allows it. (Say it again)
but just think if he wasn't there where would we be?
Chorus:
We must take some time to give thanks to him,
for the sunny days he gives us and lights up our lives. (ohh)
We must be sure that we to give thanks to him, (be thankful)
for those chilly nights he holds us, and caresses our lives.
Verse 2:
It's a wonderful thing to see your loved-one cured of their diseases.
It's a wonderful thing to hear the voice of freedom when you need it,
I've heard it. (Whuu)
It's so easy to loose understanding,
Then it's not them it's us who more so demanding. (It's so easy)
It's so easy to get complaced,
but just imagine if we lost him where would we be?
Chorus
We must take some time to give thanks to him, (Ohh)
for the sunny days he gives us and lights up our lives.(For those sunny days, ohh, ohh)
We must be sure that we to give thanks to him, (give thanks to him)
for those chilly nights he holds us, and caresses our lives. (when I'm cold, yeah)
Bridge:

and watched over us all through the night. (ohh)
From the cars we drive, (cars we drive) and the planes that fly, (the planes we fly)
He shows us his love, by reserving our lives...
Be thankful for all that he's done for you, (Ohh)
take a minute and send it up. (Eee)
Be thankful for all that he's done for you,( I know, yeah yeah)
take a minute and send it up. (We gotta take some time)
Chorus x2
We must take some time to give thanks to him, (Thank you lord, Thank you Jesus)
for the sunny days he gives us and lights up our lives. (Rejoice, "Rejoice" in the day of his name)
We must be sure that we to give thanks to him, (Ohh)
for those chilly nights he holds us, and caresses our lives. (Take out a little time to thank him)
We must take some time to give thanks to him, (Yeah)
for the sunny days he gives us and lights up our lives. (Must see my father, oh lord, oh lord)

for those chilly nights he holds us, and caresses our lives. (thank you, yeah)
We just want to say, "thank you", (Thank you for the ways)
for all the ways you've made (Oh, God thank you for health and strenght)
Yes God,
My health and strenght.
The song "Thankful" by Virtue! is a tribute to the power of gratitude and the importance of recognizing the blessings in our lives. The song opens with a reflection on the simple joy of waking up alive and breathing, and the beauty of seeing the sun shining after a night of dreaming. The lyrics point out the tendency we have to take these small miracles for granted, and to forget that our lives are sustained by a higher power.
The second verse of the song takes this message further, by acknowledging the more complex blessings that come into our lives--such as the healing of a loved one or the freedom to speak our minds. The lyrics suggest that we have a natural tendency to become complacent and forgetful when things are going well, and that this can lead to a sense of entitlement or arrogance.
Overall, the song is a reminder that we should take time to recognize the beauty and wonder of the world around us, and to give thanks for the many things we take for granted. It encourages listeners to adopt an attitude of humility and gratitude, and to recognize the many ways in which a higher power has blessed us.
