I remember when I would rewatch some of these episodes in my early teens (I was really into the series then. I’m in my 20s now), I just made an old wild theory that it’s because, as what I once called it, the “Four-Arms species” all had rough voices in general.
But this was Ben. A Human with Alien DNA in his transformations. So like how Ben grows used to the transformations, the forms themselves grew with him. Way back then I based this on the fact with how Four-Arm’s original voice has some vocal layering and effects Over it. It’s Something humans can’t do, but who’s to say Aliens can’t?
So I thought that the little minimal changes through voices and such were due to the fact that the Omnitrix Aliens were in a way, adapting to Ben. Four Arm’s voice sounds smooth and more clear, because it’s either the Omnitrix trying to adapt to being able to speak through Ben. Or Ben himself, is learning to speak through his forms.
This could apply to the new forms he gains over time. Each new Alien starts in it’s ‘purest’ of form. But slowly changed over time. I mean, if you had some tool that changes your DNA like that, there’s no way that traces of it don’t linger when the Omnitrix times out, right?
Again, this was just a wild theory I came up a long time ago. Probably doesn’t even make any sense to any material of the series. Surely the real reason is more likely, Actors might not be able to keep up with certain voices over a period of time. So, changes were made.

the same happened with Humungousaur, who lost his growl, and Echo Echo who went from robotic to expressive. it's probably because it's too hard for the voice actors to keep up with, but i like to think it's just Ben getting used to talking as certain aliens.

season 1 four arms sounds scary and gives you that feeling that he can finish you with one punch, after all, the guy is a giant pumped alien with 4 arms. in season 2 it feels less intimidating, which isn't a bad thing, but I liked the first version better.

I only remember how Heatblast sounded at the beginning, and I swore he was a helldemon because he sounded so menacing. He's grown into one of my favorites, only being beaten out by Four Arms and Humungosaur
