Through A Keyhole
Walter Meego Lyrics

tears runnin` down my cheeck draws in an ocean
Locked in a room, lookin` out the window
And when i look at you, i look in through a keyhole
You`ll never find me anywhere you look,
A happy story in a closed book.
And when i look at you, i look in through a keyhole
What's not in me, is not in you
lookin` through a keyhole
lookin` through a keyhole
What's not in me, is not in you
lookin` through a keyhole
lookin` through a keyhole
You won`t see me express emotion
tears runnin` down my cheeck draws in an ocean
Locked in a room, lookin` out the window
And when i look at you, i look in through a keyhole
You`ll never find me anywhere you look,
A happy story in a closed book.
Locked in a room, lookin` out the window
And when i look at you, i look in through a keyhole
What's not in me, is not in you
lookin` through a keyhole
lookin` through a keyhole
What's not in me, is not in you
lookin` through a keyhole
lookin` through a keyhole
Walter Meego's song Keyhole talks about someone who keeps their emotions hidden and avoids being vulnerable. The lyrics suggest that the person is locked in a room, looking out the window at the world. When the person looks at others, including the person singing the song, they see them through a keyhole, indicating a distance between them, as if the person is not fully engaged with the world around them. The lyrics suggest that this person is a closed book and that nobody can find them, indicating that they prefer to keep their distance from others.
The repetition of the phrase "What's not in me, is not in you" suggests that the person believes that others are like them, that they also don't express emotions and keep their distance. The use of the keyhole metaphor suggests that the person is trying to observe the world from a distance, without fully engaging with it. The lyrics create a feeling of isolation and distance, suggesting that the person is struggling with their emotions and is finding it difficult to connect with others.
Overall, Keyhole is a powerful song that captures the feeling of isolation and distance, and the struggle of trying to connect and express emotions. It suggests that despite our efforts to keep our emotions hidden, ultimately, we all have a need for connection and intimacy.
